We are in USDA planting zone 9b in California and we grow as much food as we can on our 7,000 square-foot city lot. We have quail, chickens, rabbits, edible landscaping garden, and preserve food.

  1. Part of the problem was the squash was frozen, but was the sorrell frozen as well? One thing that is tricky is you have to either start with everything frozen, or nothing frozen. Hope it all came out nice and tasty. I usually let my food dry for at least 3 hours after it is done even if things seem dry, unless it is candy. LOL.
