Front Yard Garden

BEGINNING MY DECLUTTERING JOURNEY | Getting My House In Order

We are going into a new school year and I am feeling the urge to purge! It has been several years since I have done a big declutter and it is WAY past time. So today is day one on the decluttering journey. I will keep y’all updated as we go.

Hey there! My name is Brittany, and I am a first generation homemaker, homeschooler, and homesteader… well, almost. When I say “homestead”, I mean that I have all the dreams of acreage with all the animals and a massive garden. But the reality is that we live on a quarter of an acre, and while we don’t have a ton of restrictions in our area, we also do have neighbors. So, I am doing what I can with what the Lord has blessed us with. So we have chickens and I have torn up a 500 sq ft area in our front yard for a garden. I am hoping this is just the beginning. I have aspirations of more garden beds and other small livestock, but first I have to master what I have already taken on. Did I happen to mention that we just started all of this in February of 2023?? So, I hope you will join me as I learn how to become more self sufficient as we make use of every square inch that we have to bring this dream to life!

  1. One of the reasons I like your channel is that you are more down-to-earth and realistic, so many people spend lots of money for updates but most people don't have that kind of money. Thank you for being real 🙂

  2. Totally understand the need to downsize the clutter when you have chronic illness. Have you ever heard of Tiny Tidy Tuesday? If you ever want to join a collab or follow along (I did for 6 months before I started doing cideos for it), it is run by Sunday Dawn over at The Helpful Home. Lots of us have various chronic health issues, so we work in small chunks most of the time. And at least a few of us have dysautonomia symptoms as well…. Think most of us with those symptoms are either Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or Hypermobility Spectrum rather than straight POTS, but not sure on everyone. Lol. Anyway, if you need some motivation and understanding, I think you would fit in really well with us.
