Do Not Make This Gardening Mistake | Manure is No Longer Safe

Before you add any manure to your garden, watch this video. Manure, the once gold standard for garden fertilizer, is no longer safe. Much of today’s manure is riddled with persistent herbicides such as Grazon. You MUST test manure before adding it to your garden. Learn from my mistake so you don’t make it yourself.

  1. Mushrooms are successfully cleaning up contaminated land. I'm not sure about grazon, but may be worth looking into it.

  2. I feel you …. last year I brought contaminated mushroom compost into all my raised beds. I've learned a lot about soil and regeneration since then. This year I planted everything in grow bags with soil that I trusted mixed with coco coir and worm castings. In the contaminated soil I planted corn and sunflowers to "suck up" the poison. Grazon stays in the soil for several years… I'm hoping if I keep planting this way the soil in the beds will eventually be Grazon free….. I will never use hay or manure from outside sources again!!

  3. All hay for all animals rabbits too have it, so does a fruit and veg and just about all cereals and all food like that, we all have it inside us whether u like it not

  4. Another unsuspecting victim of aminopyalid damage. 😢 Spread the word that most manure is not safe anymore!

  5. I have stopped altogether using manure in my garden, even amino pyralid is not very used here in Norway. I have heard that a good hot composting will break down the chemical, but with the amount you got it would be hard work getting it hot.

  6. I’m the 38th subscriber your really good at your videos I can’t wait to learn from your videos! Thank you for your information!
