Now is the time to harvest your pumpkins (and maybe start planning out your Jack-o-Lantern designs!) in Southwest gardens since you don’t want them to experience frost. It’s often easiest to use loppers to cut stems—just sure to leave 2 to 3 inches of stem at the top.
