  1. Pumpkin bread looked really good. Perhaps you will one day make it with pumpkins you grow as well. Then, you will have three key ingredients you raised yourself. (Eggs from your chickens being the third one.). 😉

  2. You can add vital gluten to the flour and no need to grow 2 types of wheat. It's readily available at grocery stores

  3. Well the nice thing is about the flour that you milled, As you can put it in the freezer to make it last a little longer too.

  4. I mixed a painted fern, purple heuchera, and euphorbia in spring, it has been pretty all summer.

  5. I watched with my daughter this morning. My daughter said " she flew her own wheat! And now she's baking pumpkin bread, and biscuits? WOW, I'm so jealous. She meant it in a good way. You know how the young people talk today…..😊

  6. As a professional gardener I wore my Felco pruners in my scabbard every day for over 30 years. "Retired" now but still reach for them when an Amazon box arrives. Old habits die hard! 😅

  7. Pumpkin bread is one of my favorites. I understand how your family ate the whole loaf. I don't mill my own flour but I will try your recipe.

  8. Made pumpkin bread today. I was looking for something to bake and you game me great idea! I double the portion and made it gluten free – DELICIOUS!!!

  9. Fun compilation video. Hi to Benjamin. It’s probably just me, but I love hearing the crinkles from the soil bag…I know it’s weird! Everything in this video gets a thumbs up from me😊

  10. Happy Birthday to your dear Mother-in-law, Sue! I hope she loves her new planter. I didn’t realize your Mom and MIL has the same first name. 😊

  11. New Gardner in Ohio: very interesting learning they different types of wheat and the process. Thank you for sharing.

  12. I would like the bread better with walnuts and cream cheese on top, Yum, will be baking soon. Since so many are giving tips, I make my own vanilla. Simple with vanilla beans in a 5th of Vodka, It takes about 4-6 months and it sooo much better than store bought.

  13. Do you ever process your own pumpkins and freeze the flesh to use in recipes at a later date. How nice to use your homegrown flour as well as pumpkin!!

  14. Happy birthday to Aaron's mom and many blessings! What a beautiful peaceful day, thanks Laura! The pumpkin bread is Yummy 😋! I never sift my flour but since I buy whole wheat flour, instinctively I decided to sift and it's so much better! Now, I don't mind super dens bread because in my childhood in Romania we did not have this fluf of a bread that it amounts to nothing. I love the crust from the bread, the crustier the better. If I have my choice would only eat the crust, it drove my dad crazy because I would come home with half crusted bread and half with out every time 🤣 and I would do the same now! Especially when the bread is hot from the oven! I'll yummy! Blessings 💕🤗💞

  15. I don't eat wheat or dairy or eggs but my mouth totally watered when you tasted that bread!! great job!

  16. I love your show!! You are so inspiring! I am really excited to try your pumpkin bread! Thanks for your show. Can you recommend any other shrubs that could be used for topiaries? I am looking forward to your next shows!!

  17. Hey Laura great video as always, instead of using canned pumpkin in this recipe. Could you do a version using the Sweet Potatoes like the ones you’re currently growing on the new property?

  18. I would love to see Benjamin's face if you grew one of those giant pumpkins 🎃 🍂 , my (not so little anymore) boy is going to college this year and I dearly miss those moments.

  19. Dumb question… Why are air pockets so bad? You're always so careful to avoid air pockets but don't plant roots need aeration?

  20. Hi Laura. The planter is beautiful. I am sure Aaron's mom will love it . I
QUESTION:When you went into the green house, what is that glorious vine spilling out along the floor, at 8:06 in the video😮
    Thank you so much.

  21. That planter is so beautiful. I took a photo of it to keep for my future planter ideas – so thank you! Pumpkin "anything" is always good and this recipe sounds wonderful. Buttermilk always adds a special something to any baked recipe. Can't wait to try it – but will definitely wait until weather cools off just a bit here. We're having another heat wave…….

  22. Thanks for sharing , the bread looks delicious. I could smell it through the screen. LOL! I can't wait to make this recipe. Thanks for sharing!!! 😃😊😊

  23. Dang! Would have loved a gift planter and a fresh pumpkin loaf for my bday💜

  24. Laura, Why don’t you train one of the topiaries into a tree! You can let the top go and be bushy as the trunk thickens. It would be beautiful!
