Woolly Orange Banksia from Australia, mate. Obsessed with all Banksia and hoping to incorporate some birds into a piece like this next. Getting back into the sketching groove here in my studio after some major creative burnout. Two things I’ve been reminding myself lately:
1. Draw what you see.
2. Have fun!
I was taking my work too seriously and questioning every line that went down on the paper. Remembering these two phrases daily has helped a lot. I also picked up @lisacongdon ‘s new book “Find Your Artistic Voice” and it has been almost a reawakening for me to read. Highly recommended for all illustrators/ artists, she is golden!! ✨
