Absolutely thrilled to announce that after five hardcore days on the mountain, Kate and Keith summited Mt.Kilimanjaro this morning after an arduous 8 hour near vertical climb starting at 3am and climbing in pitch darkness with nothing but a head torch and a LOT of layers.
Both have suffered with altitude sickness at different stages of the climb but they’ve pushed through together and made it to the top – there aren’t words to describe how unbelievably proud we are of the two them right now! A universal cheer was sounded in the KGG office when we got the phone call (probably scaring the neighbours to death) Now we just gotta get them back down again!! The guys have one more night in a tent before being picked up at the bottom of the mountain tomorrow afternoon, and taken back to a hotel to recuperate.
