  1. With beans, I just cut the growth down to the soil and leave the roots with the nitrogen nodules in the soil. Plant your next crop directly, and they benefit from the nodules.

  2. I have a small section in my garden where last year I made some ridiculously good soil, cost me too much at the time in coco vermiculite perlite compost(was newer to it and bought expensive stuff) but it is such a lush section of my garden. Looking at your bed there and how freely you can move your hands through it without it being in a pot is a goal for my entire garden. Looks amazing haha

  3. Thank you for this video. I would have loved to watch you plant all your plants. It's so encouraging.

  4. What is the reason that my Roma tomato's rot from the bottom up. There hanging from the vein , not laying on the ground.

  5. Thanks James and Tuck! ♥️♥️♥️
It’s also good to cut bean plants at ground level, leaving the roots and nodules in the earth.
Those nodules are nitrogen fixing factories and great soil improvement!
Then I plant cabbage or cover crop right in the bed.
Believe me, I pulled a lot of bean plants before I learned about this!

  6. Nice informative garden video, thanks !! Yay for a Fall garden. I took a week of vacation to plant instead of traveling anywhere. This is where it is at, love it !!

  7. Great information as usual! My first year of gardening, so next year should be so much better with all your great information! ❤️❤️❤️ for Tuck!

  8. Tuckertin you have to use some shade cloth and fabricate an umbrella for yourself🤎 Harness my love inside🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🖤

  9. In Florida I'll be pulling peppers and eggplant the first of October, but frost wouldn't kill them until Thanksgiving or after. Once the day length falls below 12 hours their production is super slow, so it's not really worth leaving them.

  10. I'm in South Carolina and i have a particularly tough time at growing cabbage and hoping by watching James's channel that maybe I'll do better this time around! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

  11. 💚 Great tips, James! How much coco coir do you use in making up your original garden bed mixture? You probably have a vlog about that, most likely?💚

  12. Where do you get your hoop frame? I have had a hard time finding something like that in that size. Most of what's for sale online is thin, very short and cheap quality.

  13. Its so freaking hot but I started my fall seeds a few weeks ago. My biggest issue is the lack of sun, if you don't time it right, your fall crops will not be big enough by the time its getting less than 10 hours a day of light and will just linger (or die) until spring. So get them as big as possible while you can.

  14. James is there a reason why you didn’t add mycorrhizae to your fall plants roots?

  15. Do you ever have problems with ants getting into your raised bed soil? I had to build a new growing box because my old one had ants in the moist soil. It was probably my fault for using the same untreated wood box for too long!

  16. Great video! So can you give recipe for your soil? Amounts of each ingredient? Thank you so much for your inspiration!

  17. This question is for everybody, i live in hawaii…its pretty much summer year round here…only thing that changes is longer days in summer and shorter in winter…BUT for the most part is sunny all year long…how do we judge what to grow and when to grow it when the temperature is relatively the same all year long
