  1. Oh my you have a lot of yard to work with. I know it will be beautiful once you get those idea's popping up. ❤ even Louis is loving it. Yea!!!! Thanks for sharing your video, loved visiting with you awhile 😊

  2. Really cheering you on.👏👏👏👏
I am confident that you will create a masterpiece in your new garden.
    Congratulations on your purchase.

  3. I would consider beginning by creating a master plan for the space – focusing on bedlines, location of large trees, and any added structures/hardscape

  4. Congrats on your new property, lots of land. You need a drive around cart to help take items to various areas and with the hot weather help you to get around the property. New viewer. 😊

  5. Hi Matthew! Thank you for introducing Louis, he's adorable! I knew you had a dachshund, but only because you mentioned him. How do your other 2 pups like the new property? Since they were used to being fenced in, I was just wondering how they're doing with the wide open area, or is one part of the property fenced in? I know once you get everything that you don't want removed, your creative juices will kick in. I'm looking forward to following you on your journey. Thank you so much for sharing!

  6. Are you worried about overspray from the crops next to you? My mom sometimes loses plants due to that because her property backs up to a farmers field.

  7. Beautiful property! Deer pressure can certainly present some challenges. Inkberry holly is often used as a substitute for boxwood and its deer resistant. Lewis certainly seems to like being outside now!

  8. Hi doggie! My mind can’t wrap around how to use Altheas. I dislike their habit despite loving their blooms. I keep buying them then struggling to place them; looking forward to see how you style yours.

  9. Hi my dear friend I’m new to your channel. This is my first video to watch. Thanks so much for putting together such a great video really enjoyed it and I love the garden tour. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie.

  10. Thanks so much for sharing this watering system. You are sharing today. Never heard of doing it this way and thanks for sharing.

  11. Well, I’m not gonna waste any of my money on them until you tell me they’re working out great thanks for letting me know about this product

  12. You do you! I agree with you – if a plant doesn’t make you happy, replace it with what does 😊. Life is too short to not have the plants you ❤in your garden. My garden is only 5 years old. The original design had 12 candy corn spirea’s – I’ve already removed 5 of them. I know! Most gardeners love that shrub – not me. I despise fall and do not like the fall color. I will say that they are a beautiful plant but I’d rather have hydrangeas! I have 8 left in my back gardens that are way bigger than the PW tag says. Mine are about 3-4ft tall/wide in clay soil! I’m in northern Kentucky Mathew if you would like to have them! Come on down! 😊 when I last priced them at Baeten’s Nursery in the spring the 3 gallon were $59 (I think 🤔). If my husband knew, these shrubs would be here for eternity! 😂
Side note: I know lots of folks love Fall – I love all the other seasons, I just get so depressed in the fall because I have to say goodby to gardening until spring. One good thing about fall…we get a much needed break from gardening to get ourselves ready for the next spring!

  13. I’m serious about the 8 Candy Corn Spirea. I have plenty of big black cans we can use for transport! See my first comment. 😊
You can also view and walk thru my gardens and bounce off ideas for gardening in good ole clay soil! Two plants that have done exceptionally well are Hardy Hibiscus, Lythrum and Iris.

  14. Omg the Rose of sharon would be so beautiful trimmed into tree form. It is unfortunate placement. That tree next to it might have to go. It doesn't look that healthy.

  15. Lewis is adorable 🥰 I would do raised cedar garden beds in that area beside that shed for your veggie garden. Laura at Garden Answer did great ones in her, Aaron’s sister and in her sister’s yard this season. Can’t wait to see you transform the property!! So exciting!

  16. Your new property looks beautiful! I loved your hydrangeas in the old property and can't wait to learn how you plant them and the varieties. FYI, deer will not jump over a fence that they can't clear. I have video of deer walk by my vegetable garden, when I had a straw bale garden where the bales with vegetables were 2 feet from the fence and 4 feet from each other. Living traditions homestead built a double fence to prevent deer from their new orchard. Luis was so happy – loved it!

  17. Could you please tell me the name of the watering system you used where you watered containers from I believe it was a tote? 🌺💚🙃

  18. I love Lewis!! He is adorable!! Whatever you decide to do Matthew will be amazing. Love your videos;! God Bless You

  19. Keep the Rose of Sharon! Especially since it’s a double and favors your color palette! They are so easy to prune.

  20. Oh my, Lewis is a cutie. So fun to see him run around. Love your new property. You have a huge canvas to make the landscape into a beautiful garden. Can’t wait to see you transform the space.

  21. Burning bushes should not be next to your driveway. If you want to relocate them, do so. They need a lot of room and be fluffy, not pruned tight.
