  2. What a huge property!
Bet you have some great ideas spinning around.
I like to get pen to paper, and start from scratch….usually start with the direction of the sun and the houses walls and windows…and take into account a lower lying sun in winter, which may affect your glasshouse…it may have to be moved forward to catch the winters sun rays.
I think you may have some nice surprises under all the weeds.
Those penstemons look like "pearls and onyx" or "masquerade", both from Proven winners.
Unfortunately, you cant get them here in New Zealand.
They are absolutely beautiful, in flower…like jewels or gem stones, glistening in the sunset.
Astrantias are another gorgeous flower for a border, so many varieties.
Start them from seed if you can and collect seed for the following spring.
Take your time and make lists…lists always make life easier.
What awesome fun and hard work
Enjoy your old/new garden and you have a pool too!
    😊Jo.

  3. Omg Matthew! I literally gasped when I saw the thumbnail for this video! I'm so happy for you guys!! 😆😆🩷🩷

  4. Just subscribed! Happy for you that you have gained so much more garden space. The purple flower you thought was salvia I’m pretty sure is agastache. 😊

  5. Kudos to you for having the courage to start fresh. I'm currently torn about leaving my garden but you've encouraged me to explore my options. Good luck to you all.

  6. Many blessings in your new home! It looks lovely and private! A large space is a challenge, you are so creative I'm sure it'll be beautiful! It's very exciting 👍👏😊

  7. Beautiful property! Love the pool. You certainly have your work cut out for you, I would be so excited having to start all over again. Did you shed a tear leaving your beautiful gardens behind? Can't wait to see what you do with this property! ❤

  8. Yeah, moving is the worst. Did I miss it, did you say you are still a southern gardener in the north? I think that was a black adder hyssop, I couldn't really tell in the video. Did you say what the size of the property is? I must have missed that too. Best wishes and I'm very excited for you and excited to see the journey. Good luck and have a great day. Sorry that this was so long. Rain-water reclamation system, that sounds like I might agree with them.

  9. You should get to know the owner of the crop field to find out what pesticides if any they use.

  10. Congratulations!!! You are going to have so much fun!! Sheet mulching will be your friend. Congratulations again!!

  11. Man if you were still in Alabama I’d gladly show up to help clean out your garden. I’d bring a van, plenty of pots and dirt and find a home for every perennial you don’t want.

  12. Looks like you'll have to get in some heavy equipment to get that stuff cleared out. I can't see how you could do it all by hand. The space does have great potential though.

  13. Hi your new house is fantastic looks like a park. I hope and pray you will be giving those plants your pulling up to a good home 😊 Please don't throw all plants away Enjoy your new space!

  14. It will be great in no time. The tree at the 10:00 mark is a linden (basswood). They smell heavenly. When I think of what June smells like, it’s a basswood.

  15. Congratulations on your new property. So much potential. I watched Janeys video today where she showed her new property also. This is going to be so interesting to see what you will come across as you begin figuring out what's what. Its a tremendous amount of space and you will have unlimited content. It will be beautiful for sure. Thank you for giving us a before tour.

  16. Congratulations! What a beautiful property. I love your vision. Would you consider copice pruning any of the older shrubs?

  17. Living by a corn field means mice, voles, gophers, groundhogs, and woodland critters. You may need chicken wire under plant beds for voles.

  18. I’m here, I’m here for all the new adventures. Extra hugs Thur the semi controlled chaos. You are one of my top channels ❤

  19. I feel your joy of having this much space to grow new gardens. This will truly be a labor of love and I will be following as your gardens grow. Take care. 🤗🦋
