Make sure the watermelon tendril is brown , yellow spot at the bottom ,and knock on the melon , if sounds hollow its ripe , but I would say still give it another 5-7 days to get more ripe and juicy ..

Watering question. How much water do you estimate you give a water melon plant? Looks like one big one on my Bush Sugar Baby stopped growing but sounds solid and very green. Zone 6b but I wanted one anyway.

I was wondering how i can make my watermelon bigger. It is only about the size of a football, and it has been on the plant for a few weeks. My guess is that i have not been watering the plants enough. If I watered better would that fix it? They are also misshapen. The variety is all-sweet watermelon and it is supposed to be way bigger. Also how often should i water it?
