PTFE spray would work better…as it is a dry lubricant…and will not disolve the grease in a sealed bearing…should any manage to get inside it….and it will.PTFE will also coat the cutter preventing resin build up and not allowing dust to stick to the cutter or saw blade….Give it a go…

They make square bearing bits Just for that purpose. Great tip non the less.
Should use lighter fluid because WD40 picks up dust very quickly.
Man that had a ton of tear out. Good tip though.
