  1. Amazing job, gardening is all about surviving and thriving and you can't do that by throwing all your money at fancy gardening gear playing keeping up with the joneses.

  2. I had some compost water and put straight on the plant but didn’t dilute and it burnt the plant and it’s in shade too.very strong that compost tea .I love it more than seasol

  3. Would love to see you do a tutorial with recipe for your pickled zucchini. I love everything you do and I'm always getting new ideas from you. Thank you

  4. Have you ever posted your pickled zuchinni recipe? I'm going to have a lot of zuchinni coming up here soon, I'd like to have some extra ways to use it!

  5. Oh man, I just spent $450 on 3 corrugated metal raised bed containers. Still have to bend over! I so wish I had seen this yesterday! But I want several more so I'm putting this system together. Thanks for this!

  6. You have inspired me with your thriftiness! I talk about you to my mom she has two totes planted now and started composting in a trash can she liked the pitcher idea but she has these pots she is going to use.

  7. Robbie you are so much fun, for those of us who love gardening and plants…! WOW❤

  8. Did you put drainage holes in the bottom of each of those totes ? I'm amazed those plastic chairs hold the weight of those tubs.

  9. This would not work that well at my place because any plater would have to have a frame cover to keep out the critters. Pinon Jays, Rock Squirrels, Prairie Dogs, Grasshopper mice, and Pack Rats.

  10. I love your videos and I have to say thank you for all the wonderful and inexpensive ideas for gardening. You come up with the greatest stuff. I watched that first video on setting up your chair garden a few years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. I bought a house a few years ago and this house was sold as is. This worked out great for me because it came with garden tools and a large supply of those white plastic patio chairs and totes. I was trying to figure out how I could build a raised bed on the cheap and there you came with the answer. Several years later my totes are going strong with 5 gal buckets underneath filled with soil and catching the run off from the totes. I love my own chair garden and now I’m using the irrigation tubing for all kings of things. I’m retired now so my income is limited but I’ve got a chair garden and tulle and irrigation tubing. My only problem is what can I do next 😂😂

  11. The pride you have in your garden is contagious. My seizures are holding me back a bit with the large plans I had for this season's garden, but I'm taking things slower because I want to enjoy nature and whatever bounty it bestows me. My Monarda were blooming today with feather-like hot pink flowers. Made my day as did the father Robin who has taken residence in my garden. He sings for the world to take notice. Hugs, ~ Covah

  12. I need some help ! I don't think I understand what you are putting in the bottom of the containers before you put the garden soil on top !??? Can you please tell me/us?!!

  13. In the spring, I put a bunch of plastic bottles and plastic bags all wadded up with rubber bands in the bottom to save on soil. My sprinklers haven't been working so I haven't been able to keep up on watering them…. Is my putting those things in the bottom bad? My mom used to use rocks BUT they are so expensive now! Thanks !

  14. I have been looking for videos just like yours for over a year… I am so excited I found you ! You just popped up on a random set of videos on "home" !!!!!

  15. Would you please tell me what bows or arches are made from?
I am 78 & back issues I LOVE the containers on a chair!! Brilliant idea !! I am just trying my hand at container gardening, I had been taking care of my husband, a disabled Veteran. He served for 10 years. I just didn't realize how much time I spent. No regrets. I like your idea of natural composting just don't loethink it weill work in our area of NC. TY for everybodys help. I put a flower pot by the mailbox UPS used it for packages!! no flowers, sigh.

  16. Really good ideas! I wonder if you can use the pitcher idea in a raised bed. May two instead of one?

  17. I just love your podcasts!! Thank you!! Blessings from Kentucky 🙌🏻🦋🙏🏻 😊have you share your pickling recipe?

  18. I’m a common sense person, this is the reason I like you/your videos but you are quite amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your genius with us. Whoever is not watching your videos, they are really missing out ❣️. Any tips for more blooms on flowers? Do you grow flowers with the same techniques as vegetables? Please let us know. God bless you 🙏🏻❤️

  19. Nebraska 5B your a great motivational speaker. Can I move in with you and Gary. I need one on one instruction. My zucchini stopped producing and will need to try your not so secret formula.

  20. I really like your tote arrangement. I never liked them lined up against the wall, but this u shaped plan is nice.

  21. Hey Robbie! Thank you so much for sharing your garden wisdom. You’re the reason I’m a beginner tote gardener this year in the high desert of Las Vegas. I’m super excited about the compost tea. I’m curious…how often do you water with the compost tea please?

  22. You always have fabulous ideas, especially for gardening on a dime. That's so important because people don't want to spend a fortune to try growing food.
I have downloaded some of your videos to show as an encouragement to a gardening group that I have begun hosting.

  23. 'Get gardening!'
    Best advice ever!!
And whatever size bed folks are working with – you can start the same way with leaves, kitchen scraps, small branches … we had a brush pile with dry, year old blackberry trimmings – made a great base in my larger raised bed!

  24. Simply beautiful Robbie!!! I bought everything you've suggested. Now all I have to do is add my labor. Is it to late to start seeds??? Please let me know Its july 17th, 2023
