This plant is located in the Uinta mountains of Utah at approximately 9000 feet. It was in a shaded and moist environment, near raspberries. I am wondering if it is a currant and what type? I’m hoping it’s safe to eat? by Forever_Student_ berries 2 Comments 4clori 3 years ago Ribes lacustre — Black swamp currant Perfectly edible, but most consider it to be very sour and intense raw (somewhat similar to grapefruit). You may turn out to like it though, and you can always cook it to soften the taste. spireup 3 years ago Nice! Write A CommentYou must be logged in to post a comment.
