Front Yard Garden

New Construction Landscape Before and After

This video is a compilation of the different stages our yard went through while creating landscaping on our new construction home. The lot this home sits on was completely wooded before it was cleared for construction to begin. Over the period of 8 years pictured here, we added to our landscape one project at a time. Beautiful gardens take time to create, and everything we plant takes time to grow. We plan to slowly continue to add to our landscape, and watch it mature over the years.

  10. It's a common belief that you need to completely clear a wooded lot to build a house. The builder will tell you that because it makes it easier for them. It's really unfortunate that you didn't save some of those larger trees, like the evergreens. Also, I like most of your plant choices, but it seems like the full-grown spread of most of these plants wasn't taken into consideration when they were spaced & planted. Many look too close together and too close to your house. I do like some of our plant choices though – like the conifers.

  11. Steph you truly have an impeccable taste in plants and your yard is gorgeous! I know you have done this before but could you tell us the names of all your evergreen conifers? I love them and they are not huge and perfect to tuck in small areas. I am very inspired so thank you 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

  12. I just found your channel, so I am watching older videos. Your transformation is outstanding! Your gardens are gorgeous and I look forward to watching more of your videos!

  13. Hi Steph
I really enjoyed seeing the progression of your garden! I am so envious of what you have now, but I can see all the hard work that went into it. I have a question. I am also from MA. We also have a large forest like area that we have been wanting to clear out. Did you hire someone to help you with that? Thanks so much 💕
