Edible Gardening

this is your sign to go back | return to the north cascades of washington

Join me on a nature nerd’s road trip to the North Cascades of Washington, known as the American Alps. I’m revisiting this national park for hiking into mountains, identifying wildflowers in meadows, and swimming in cold alpine lakes. These are some of my favorite hikes and spots, yet visiting them in wildflower season of early summer has revealed a whole new world of native plants and amazing mountain views and vistas. We will learn and experience these beautiful ecosystems along some of the best trails and swims in the area, all with plant identification and forest education from a self taught naturalist.

Being a nomad naturalist enables me to reconnect with nature in a whole new way. I hope to inspire this inner peace and happiness in others through a closer relationship with mama nature, through healthy eating, outdoor recreation, edible food gardening/farming, and sustainable living. Youtube has enabled me to better educate and inspire from the road.

  1. You are such a beautiful Being and poetic in your narratives. I think nature vibrates at various frequencies and I see most everything from the standpoint of frequency. Love made real is the highest frequency and you continuously do this in your video's. Namaste Kaylan

  2. Based on what I’ve seen on AllTrails, we will be doing this very hike in 2.5 weeks⛰️🥾🌾 Thanks for sharing your knowledge and the magical beauty Mother Nature has to offer🥹🥰🥹

  3. I literally just discovered thimbleberries for the first time even though I grew up in the PNW… haha they are so good!!!

  4. Kaylan, you go to such beautiful places. The last time I left my cave and went to the wild, I encountered 6 venomous snakes, and one even touched by accident (didn't bite). The way wild life loves to scare the heck out of me, if I'm at the same location as you are, it is very likely (99.99%) that I encounter a T-Rex.
Thank you for sharing your time and experiences. You are very charismatic and I enjoy watching your videos.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy.

  5. This video was amazing! Like you literally have a gift. I don’t see any drone footage and you absolutely brought out the beauty! Really great work. I want to go there so badly, I’ve only ever passed through, and the memory was extremely impressionable to me. It was absolutely exquisite and what a blessing to come upon that meadow full of different, colorful flowers up that high! Just wow! 🙌🏼🥰🙏🏻

  6. You write such eloquent voiceovers and your storytelling and cinematography are wonderful! Thank you!!,

  7. Beautiful mountains! Your videos have opened my eyes to the PNW, and finances permitting, I'll go out there for an extended camping trip next summer.

  8. I was very close to that area before. should of could of but did not go there. maybe next year. Looks beautiful and wild though. Enjoy.

  9. The beautiful scenery, the superb editing along with your narration makes your videos so so enjoyable! I've watched this video at least 3 times so far

  10. Hi ya I’m bit late this week, awesome scenery and you just provide so much information, take care and stay safe cheers from Australia 🌱📖🥰
