  1. Absolutely incredible story and journey – thank you. If you don't mind, I will include this in my 'Top 7 Bonsai Questions' playlist where quite a few bonsai creators have answered similiar questions. One of the biggest contributers in this is Nigel Saunders and we also have Sam from Aussi Bonsai Bloke. I love what you do and how you present it. Cheers

  2. Que bueno el vídeo y la forma de expresar lo que te aporta el bonsai. Me gustó mucho y lo sentí muy cercano. Lo comparto en algunos de mis grupos de whashapp para que puedan conocer el canal. Un saludo desde España.

  3. Hi Anne, thank you for sharing your story, what an amazing journey you’ve been on, I’m so excited to start my own journey ( I bought a bonsai at your show a few weeks ago) now every tree I see I think “Can I turn this into a Bonsai “ 😆 thanks again.

  4. really very beautiful story !it is very important where we started and the first influences !
i would like to ask you if you could mention information about pine trees ! regarding their collection period (yamadori) and post collection care . step by step so that your experience can save as many trees as possible . it saddens me to no end when it seems that it does not go well with a tree i have collected during its healing. I wouldn't want to do it with the pine tree , I have an area ( Greece) of very beautiful trees that could become very beautiful in the future ! I wouldn't want to rely on my instinct and collect them . I would greatly appreciate if you could share information about collecting , the moisture of the soil where the tree should be and also the location in relation to the sun where the tree should be during the healing period ! thank you for your videos and I feel very beautiful when I see your videos !

  5. I have a 10 year old purple maple, it is my daughter's tree. It was kept indoors over winter but come spring when I put it outside, it grew buds no leaves. The buds are getting dark because they didn't open. It was repotted during spring. Please help me. I love this tree to much to let it die.😥

  6. Amazing story!! I wish I was more patient when I was younger.. I always was fascinated with bonsai but when I went to the library to check out some books on bonsai I became discouraged with how long it took to grow a Specimen like I saw in the books.. now that I'm in my 40s the bug has struck me so hard I've Accumulated more than a hundred trees in under three years. I have no clue how I'm going to go on vacation lol… who will water my new children hehehehe 😊

  7. Em ở Sydney, đang mê Bonsai lắm, muốn học hỏi và bái sư được không Chị!

  8. Wonderful story, and very enlightening. Thank you for sharing! I’m diggin your collection and channel!

  9. I feel your passion coming thru. ❤ As I downsize from full size yard with a garden shed & koi pond to jus few patios I am now doing container gardening. I bought a cute tiered bamboo shelf & started on my bonsai journey at the age of almost 75. It’s very addictive & I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am learning from online videos. Imagine my surprise when I found a beautiful Japanese bonsai nursery less than 4 miles away. Thank you! 😬

  10. I think you’ve done quite well. You have a beautiful collection. I wish we were neighbors. I regret a little that I didn’t start Bonsai sooner in my life, but I started Bonsai 18 years ago and I can’t wait every day to do the next task. Now I’m wiring and training yamadori American hornbeam and it ain’t easy, but persistence will allow me to finish. Thank you for your videos, they’re really nice. By the way, my mother is Vietnamese and she was the one who taught me to grow.

  11. I found your channel a few weeks ago and I have to say it’s definitely my favourite. Such a friendly face and wonderful and informative videos.
I can’t wait to one day meet you and hopefully buy a tree from you.

  13. Beautiful trees so many to look after and develop, I have worked with bonsai for about the same amount of time as yourself, my collection is smaller but no less loved, I am 81 now but still able thank god to look after them, when my wife of 52 years died, bonsai was my salvation it was the reason to get up early in the morning to make sure my collection is doing well. It is lovely to see a woman presenting bonsai there is not enough women involved with bonsai so thank you for sharing your trees and passion with us. This is the first presentation of your channel I have watched but it will not be the last.

  14. The dedication and passion shine through. What a great story and an example that demonstrates – people into bonsai are the best kinds of people.

  16. Beautiful garden and trees Anne, I would love to see it one day. Loved your story and passion about Bonsai, looking forward to seeing more videos. Thanks for the pumice, it was great quality, almost no dust at all 🙂

  17. Thank you so much for sharing your story . I love hearing the sensitive feminine perspective as well, inspiring and affirming my relationship with the trees. My first tree was a Japanese Larch which is now 27 years in my care. It’s been through the ups and downs in my life and I have been there for the tree during many transitions and an almost devastating fungal infection, it’s thriving now. You are inspiring, so glad to have found your channel. I lost a lovely Sierra Juniper , still unsure as to what happened. I need to figure it out , so sad for the tree.

  18. I agree with your comments about we needing them and they needing us. Each season is rewarding and it does come down to understanding your individual trees, knowing them very well. This is my ninth year and I have collected about fifty, some started from seed, some dug up, some purchased. Although there are a few more I would like to have, I think the ones I have are good enough for me. I have set a few free when I thought they would be happier in the ground, but still keeping them nearby. Do they speak to me? I think they do.
