A bucket garden is a type of self-watering container you can make at home with two five-gallon buckets and a few basic supplies. This is a relatively inexpensive and easy way to grow vegetables and herbs in containers, even if you don’t have space for an in-ground garden. The five-gallon buckets can be found for free at restaurants, bakeries, and groceries stores — just ask for them!
