  1. Thank you for sharing, you have a very pleasant way about you and I enjoy your teaching. I am hoping to get some okra growing as my first one did not make it. This is my first garden and I am 72 I am loving it but due to balance problems I am doing everything from the seat of my pants though a kneel mat might help /grin love and blessings oh I also started a 3 sisters garden why not I figure and I also dug up a valuable necklace as I turned my compost heaap bonus sorry so wordy

  2. I'm having this very dilemma here in Texas, deciding which plants are worth continuing to water in this heat and drought. Bit by bit I'm letting most go, but I have also started some new ones indoors, to grow in our second growing season in the fall, so that makes it happier.

  3. Am pulling some of my cucumbers and planting more and thanks for the videos your awesome keep it up 👍

  4. Love this video series, I am working on my black thumb and hopefully it's slowly but surely getting greener with this show! I also love how you and cameraman do this together! Thank you

  5. I’m a first time gardener with lil space, so I’ve been growing in the smart pots and so far it’s going great. Thanks for all your container garden videos they’ve instructed masterfully . I’ve fooled family/friends into thinking I’ve been hiding a secret talent from them😂😂. I’m even considering get a raised bed. I purchased the warm weather lettuce seed collection & warm weather bring on the pollinators last week. I’m so excited to get those started. I still have enough time in the hot humid smothering unrelenting Crossett, Arkansas weather to get them in and get a couple good crops I hope. Fortunately, my plants haven’t been attacked but I’ve been bit by the gardener bug..lil garden dad joke

  6. Great video! I've got some starts almost ready to go out. Now I need to find some more space. I might have to pull out a few plants.

  7. Thank you Kim for all your videos! I've learned so much and continue learning. My garden is still struggling a little, but it's a work in progress.

  8. This has been a rough gardening season for sure. Cold weather into June when it’s usually warm and I have shade cloth over my garden beds. And then switch right up to triple digits. Still got some things planted but definitely not as thriving as my last years garden.

  9. Great video. I’m doing my best at learning to garden and this year I’m actually growing things. 😊

  10. Yep, that’s what Gary from the Rusted Garden would say, also another reason to pull those damaged or sick plants out is if it was a pest issue, by planting another round those pests might not be active now or less of them compared to earlier on, plus keeping plants that aren’t producing is just wasting space for other plants that can be grown there.

  11. I didn’t think I could replant this late in the growing season. I didn’t save any seeds to do so! I need to plan better next year! Thanks for the tip!

  12. I am a first-time gardener and have learned so much from watching your videos. I suddenly feel like a pro when I apply tips and tricks I’ve learned 😄. I can’t wait to pull my cucumber vine and replace it. Just waiting on the seedlings to develop a bit more! Looking forward to fall planting.

  13. I have been debating on whether or not to pull a couple of plants. It's a hard decision! Thanks for the information.

  14. I love your channel, kim! I have learned so much from you. I am disabled and having a garden in the ground has been very hard for me over the years until I learned a few years ago from you that you can plant in containers or grow bags.. I only have a handful because I have them on 2 giant wood wire spools, but I am hoping to get a couple of raised garden beds with legs next year because I love gardening! This year, the heat and rain hear in MA. has been so terrible and has taken a toll on my vegetables. I bought some shade covering that I have to put on them. My leaves on my tomato leaves are curling and have brown spots, my butternut squash, one of them the leaves are have a pale yellow to them and, the other has green and yellow spots on them and neither one of them doesn't have a single female on them yet! The only thing I haven't had problems with so far is my strawberries and my banana peppers.. I'm hoping that I can save my plants with the shade cover and put a peroxide spray on them, but with it raining every other or every 2 days is crazy! Kim, do you think if I spray them down every other day when it's not going to rain, it will still help them? It's been raining like this for almost 2 months now!

  15. Thank you, Kim, for sharing your gardening wisdom. I learn something from every video. 😊❤

  16. Thanks for all the info. I do think I am still "behind the times" as I'm just starting to get produce and you've been getting it for months. I need to pay more attention to timing. Thanks for all the help!

  17. I just started some beans about a week ago. The rest of my garden is doing pretty good although it's taking my tomatoes forever to get red.

  18. I always have such a hard time convincing myself that it's time to pull plants. Maybe using your criteria will make it easier.

  19. I've been viewing your videos for over a year now, so I am a fairly new subscriber. I love your energy and the way that you encourage your viewers. My husband and I also enjoy watching you and Camera Guy harvest from the garden and create a wonderful meal together!
I've binge watched your older videos along with your new shoots as I work on my own garden projects. 🌱
Now I'm off to move some slow growing plants around as I make some room for beans and maybe cucumbers!
Keep doing what you're doing! We love you! ❤

  20. Yay a giveaway! Thanks for the context. I’m starting a new round of cucumbers and determinate tomatoes in zone 9a.

  21. Great info as always, love all the great tips you share. The summer heat here in So Arizona has been a challenge for us as well.

  22. I’ve never done a fall garden. I’m planning to try one this year. I’ve learned a lot from you on how to be successful at it.

  23. Your videos are so helpful! I have a couple of plants that I'm having this dilemma with but this video has helped to figure out if I should pull it or leave it a while longer. Thanks!

  24. Great video Kim! My plants are wilting in the heat but you have inspired me to replace some of them!

  25. I just started some broccoli and cauliflower seeds for my fall garden. Looking forward to growing peas, carrots, radishes, lettuce, spinach and kale too! Thank you for all you do…content is always so helpful even though I live on the other side of the country! ❤

  26. This is perfect timing as a reminder to start my fall garden seeds! Thanks for the inspiration!
