Backyard Garden Tour! I July 2023

Hi fellow gardeners! It’s time for my 6th Garden Tour! 😃

Wasn’t planning to do one around this time cause i did say there wasn’t much to show, but, i kinda wanted to do another potato update video with the new Delaware variety, but it would’ve been the same-ish, but we’re also upgrading our fence very soon + will be getting new garden beds when i hit 1k subscribers, so i thought why not another tour before all that happens?😂😃

Garden is super messy cause i’ve just been extremely busy working on art for SMASH! 23′ anime con, which i just stayed indoors for the whole of June & July, waking up like 10-2pm, watering the plants, planting what i need to and going back on the PC to work on art till 4am 😂 + getting a new fence so i have not touched the right side of the garden AT ALL, because everything will be moved from there anyway, once all the beds are removed i will do the clean up for the new fence installation, and try to set up a new garden bed set up, maybe those metal garden beds? will update on my communities posts! 🙂

My first 2023 crop of potatoes have finally hit 90 days! 😃 If you haven’t kept up on my communities post, we had an unusual & unexpected frost in June, frost only hits in the middle of July which is peak Winter! So i didn’t have anything prepare nor did i expect it to hit stronger than just a light frost, lucky 70% of my potato crops did not get effected, but one of the ones i was growing as a giant got hit, so won’t be getting any record breaker from that one anymore, haha 😂🥲😩

My new variety i’m trying for the first time, Delaware potato, is a mid-season white oval potato, it is currently 30 days old! A little overcrowded, i wasn’t trying to grow these very big, i expected it to grow smaller as i didn’t put as much fertilizer + i planted all the seeds in there so i thought they would fight over the nutrients, but apparently the soil is well fertile and they’re all growing big 😂

Carrots are my next crops i will be after either before or after my potato crops(my giant potato plants i might do a separate harvest view) they’re doing well & i’m hoping to get bigger carrots as i spaced them out this time 🥕

Pineapples are doing fine, Onions will take another 3-5 months before forming, so i’m hoping they do bolt once we enter Summer 😂😅 I’m hoping my Avocado tree will fruit this time, i will be transferring one of my Mango trees and 2 of my Stone Fruit trees in 90L-110L pots this coming warm season! ☀️

This Warm seasons focus is, Pumpkins! I’m growing a lot, the most amount of varieties i’ve every grown 😂🎃 In 2019 i grew a total of 59.48kg of Pumpkins!!! This year i will try to attempt it again or go a little more! 😃 I bought a giant Pumpkin seed! It’s said to grow up to 50kg, i was wondering if this will be edible in terms of texture & taste, a garden mutual on Instagram replied to me & said they’ve grown this before but it didn’t taste nice 😂 So might be just a home display pumpkin then! 😂🎃
