  1. Hi Christa! I just planted lettuce for a first time – here in Arizona we have the perfect winters for that 😊 I had no idea I could planted so dense and in a such a shallow pot… Thank you for a great video! I appreciate it 😊😊😊

  2. This was perfect! I just planted my first leafy green lettuce and they look beautiful!

  3. Thank you for the simple yet helpful video. I live in the city in the Midwest and have an urban garden. I'll be planting lettuce in pots for the first time in my life. I grew up in the country, our land was organic. Here in town, people dump everything on the ground, and I can't trust the soil. We currently have a nice garden box, for our small victory garden with a variety of tomatoes and peppers. Looking forward to the cooler weather to try potted lettuce.

  4. Hi Christina,I planted lettuce in plastic containers and I am watching a great change, what did you advice me cause i want my lettuce to grow big and lifey like yoursin small period of time.?? ,

  5. I am a new Gardner but live in Central Florida. No cool weather here. Only in Jan-April sometimes. I REALLY want to grow my own lettuce. I bought Burpee disc with three different types of lettuce and a seedling soil to plant it with. I bought a pot (12” diameter) and put it outside yesterday. I watered it and this morning I had to move it around so it can get sunlight. I heard it needs 4+ hours of sunlight everyday. Any suggestions would help. Thanks for the video.

  6. Beginner here…
How often should I be watering my lettuce?? I have a couple of containers that I seeded for the first time this year, and I'm not at all green thumbed.
    Any help appreciated ✌🏽🌱

  7. I saw leaf lettuce in a large pot being sold at BJs store. It had leaves of various types of lettuce leaves. I was tempted to buy it but wasn't sure if after I picked the leaves that that would be it for the planter and I'd have to throw it away or if the leaves would continue to grow and we would have lettuce all summer.
If I do buy it I shod keep it out of direct sunlight and give it alot of water? How long will the leaves continue to grow and HOW do I pick them off- by hand with a scissor?

  8. What happens if your start is real "leggy"? I'm not sure if mine are but as I watch other videos I've seen a couple people mention someone's crop being leggy. Does that affect the quality? Possible quantity? Is there a way to correct this? Should I continue with what I have or start again?

  9. Thank you. I did not know the seed pod liners should be peeled before planting. Now I know why some of the more delicate plants struggled after an initial positive start.

  10. So i live in Malaysia and the temperature is above 85f. What should i do so my lettuce wont get bitter

  11. I live in Southern Ohio and it’s supposed to be 40s at night for the next week or so and 50-60s during the day. Is 10 days of cold weather a good enough amount of time if I plant my lettuce in pots today? I was late on the planting- it’s been a hot and cold spring here.

  12. Hi I just planted seeds fir salad mix lettuce and they are shooting and pot seems crowded. Is it time I take them somewhere else? Do I need a high rise garden? Or pot ok. I wanted to show you are picture but couldn't upload. Thanks.

  13. Thanks for the video. I bought a seed sheet and had a lettuce blend and the thing died. Now I know why.

  14. Thank you for this video. I hope you and the people of Ohio are in good health after that spillage disaster πŸ™πŸ»
