Hey Everyone! I am really excited to learn the area I live in Northern Arizona is home to some of the most incredible hilltop fortresses from the Chino Era (1,000 AD – 1,400 AD) of the Prescott Culture. These were not used as combat stations, rather they were built by families of influence to project power, hold community gatherings, and conduct religious ceremonies. Habitation areas can be found at most hilltop sites but that wasn’t their only purpose. I look forward to visiting more of these structures so I can share what I find. Remember when visiting these places to always Leave No Trace and leave all artifacts where you found them. Thanks! ~ Brian

  1. I always wondered what you were carrying besides the bear spray for protection. 🙂 Hope you and Sierra are doing well.

  2. Hey there Brian. Good to hear from you again and to find out that Sierra is hanging in there. I love the exploring that you and Sierra do. Very interesting the ancient civilizations. Take care my friend. Vaughn

  3. You live in a great place! Hope you and Sierra are doing better today. That's what I do. I spend every last minute with them.❤

  4. Great video Brian! Glad to hear Sierra is having a good day. Hope both of you have a great weekend and thanks for taking us on all these adventures!

  5. Great footage of those ruins. I find all that fascinating and makes me wonder what life would have been like way back then. I mean these are not particularly accessible so it must have taken so much effort to survive that hard terrain. Wish I had a time machine! Hope Sierra (and you) are doing ok there. Having a sick pet is really stressful so take care. All the best from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  6. These finds are always so interesting. Great that you have so much history. It also appeared to me that not all of the pottery shreds were decorated which I have been thinking they didn’t always do if they were just using for utilitarian purposes.

  7. It's a tragedy the more you learn about Native Americans, they built cities, they had their own massive structures, entire empires wiped off the map and forgotten. Almost all of the ancient structures left were then destroyed either knowingly or unknowingly by European settlers.

  8. Great video! Looking forward to the other ruins and artifacts you find. Only been to Prescott once, but looking forward to visiting again soon!

  9. Brian, this is so cool!! Exploring these ruins and the fascinating history is so interesting! Thanks for sharing and be safe! ❤ love to Sierra…take care

  10. I’ve always been interested in archaeology so I’m loving this vid. And the fact that Sierra is doing well….this video made me happy. Thank you so much Brian! I liked it so much I saw it twice!

  11. Brian, I stumbled upon your channel ages ago because I was camping more and I was able to take some tips and tricks and suggestions and apply them to my own adventures. It is simply impossible not to adore Sierra and I realized a moment ago that I hadn't seen your videos in my feed in a bit (love algorithms and their failure) so I had to come and see everyone's favorite adventure buddy. Thanks for sharing this adventure and sharing some of your time with Sierra – we all love her too!

  12. My back hurts just looking at those walls! 🤣 thanks for sharing. Hope you're surviving the heat waves 🤙
