  1. James, your explanation are great. You don't just say "do this," you say "do this because…" I am trying several of the varieties you have recommended in past videos. Now I need to make sure I incorporate some late producers.

  2. Just keep a spray bottle of alcohol. Also, on our gardening jobs I carry individually packaged alcohol wipes to clean my secaturs between cuts! Really great vid!!

  3. mmmm I do all these steps but this year my tomatoes are not doing so good..only one that is decent is the Sakura, I think I need one of those little cute dogs.

  4. I am using a dead tree this year for my vines. I also used a rhododendron to support some tomatoes too. Use what you’ve got.

  5. We’re having a weird summer in Western PA, followed all your advice but tomatoes took forever to flower & just now starting to produce fruit.

  6. Where do you get your seeds from? I cannot find the Melissa Savoy cabbage seeds or Brads Atomic Grape Tomatoes. I love watching your videos you have so much insightful knowledge it’s been very helpful, 7a Ohio.

  7. Thank you for all the tips. It helps a lot. I can't get my tomatoes to get red every year. I grow in both containers and in the ground. I use both tomato food and fertiliser for them . We never got a good summer this year . Nice seeing tuck in your videos. Thanks

  8. wonder why i can't buy seeds of the golden cherry tomatoes or cherry bombs or soldaki's at lowes. always big boy, better boy, early girl, couldn't even find super sweet 100's this year. they know we want them, the producers know it, but they keep sticking these same old varieties on the shelf. honestly i have 3 volunteers from last years super sweet 100's came up by themselves and have they seem to have 2X the tomatoes as last year. the tomatoes are a bit bigger and prolly not as sweet, but they are good eating. i ended up with 3 stems on one plant, just clipped them together, and they are all loaded with fruit. we need a side by side test of single stem vs 2 or 3 stem to really weigh which produces more.

  9. The ethanol in the iso (rubbing Alcho) is a PGR as well telling the fruit to ripen quicker. I leave a bottle with the lid open in my green house just before the first frost for the same reason "no green tomatoes for me"

  10. Thanks to your tips, this year I'm going to best tomatoes I've ever grown! No diseases for the 1st time ever! The only thing I've had some issues with are tomato hornworms, but I've been going out every night with a blacklight to pull them off. Thank you for your great channel!

  11. I love all your videos and I’ve been watching for years, but please taste and rate in each installment. It doesn’t matter if you described the flavor before. I’m looking at all these beautiful and ripe tomatoes and wishing you were tasting along the trip.

  12. Great tips. Gnome sighting when you were showing us how to top dress the tomatoes. First garden and so far my tomatoes are doing well but I’m fighting blossom end rot on my yellow squash 🫤

  13. Get a sprayer bottle to sanitize your tools with alcohol. It's much easier to handle, and you don't do the double-dipping.

  14. you and tuck are the best gardening youtubers ever yous are always so helpful i just started my very own garden and its going so well and when i have questions you always have a avideo answering them never quit and i cant forget ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ for tuck and a 🥕

  15. If you add/use 1 cup of water w/1 whole lemon won’t be that result in 2 cups of water each day. That’s two cups of the not so tasty each day. That could get old fast , right? What am I missing 🤷🏻‍♂️

  16. When I saw your first video introduction I thought to myself “what is he so excited about?” Well, after watching the video and now the second one I know why you’re excited. Who wouldn’t be having a beautiful garden like yours. I’m simply blown away!!

  17. I get so many tomatoes but I struggle with getting them to ripen, even with early varieties. I will try to start top dressing with tomato fertilizer. Hope it works 🤞🏼

  18. I was able to use your string and plastic clip trellis method by hanging a broom handle from the ceiling of my balcony and using it like your tree branch. Worked really well except that the tomato kept on growing…and growing…and growing, eventually not producing anything but a really L O N G single tomato branch with some leaves. Is it okay to prune an indeterminate tomato from the top without damaging the entire plant?
