As you might know Twelve Oak was a cotton plantation. This year I have cotton plants as ornamental plants… like them… But I should have sown them already in February instead of March. Greetings Marcus
As of May 2023, my county reimburses the purchase of rain barrels! I wish they started last year when I bought mine!
Also, my husband rigged the de humidifier to run a tube out of the basement window into a bucket that I use ti water plants on that side if the house. It’s very humid here in the summer so I empty that bucket 2x a day! I have not had to use a hose yet, but I may next week if the barrels go empty.
Beatles 4 Ever!! Linda, so wonderful of you to throw that out there along with dancing around to Hamilton – hell yeah!! I am always listening to music while out in the yd, itś the best, keeps me out longer since I dont get bored. I love all kinds of music too but rock, not metal is tops. Keep on dancing, singing AND gardening!

I bought three of the hose and love them. They are lightweight,easy to move around, and easy to coil up and store.
The steps look so gracious and once they are softened with plantings they will be marvelous.

What are your thoughts on weed barrier? If you use it, what kind do you use?
The back steps have a beautiful elegance to them. They remind me a bit of old Hollywood styles. So nice that the rise of the steps is short.

“Let’s Talk Fertilizing” I have one more comment, actually a request … if I may? Next time you fertilize, will you please make it a video? I have asthma and use a commercial company, however, my lawn, shrubs, & flowers don’t look as good as they should. Perhaps, I could teach my 11 year old grandson to do it. He’s always looking for jobs to earn extra money for Roblox.
Mother Nature has turned on the faucet here in SE Nebraska. I'm very glad to get watering tips even though I havent had to water in days. I dont want to get out of the habit of watering correctly.
I live in zone 6B,northeast Ohio,and we haven’t experienced watering restrictions (yet),and I would like to send you all down in those zones who do,my utmost respect.

Tips: I keep a bucket in my shower. That water overspray is collected and I use that water for plants.
It’s just amazing how fast your garden has grown. It’s just lovely. I was enamored by your boxwood basil and ordered the seed. Do you find it hard to germinate? I have planted it in pots and in the ground. So far, not much luck. Will you bring some in for the winter?

The garden is simply beautiful…..KD Lang is my number 1, then of course all the doo wop. I'm 75 so my taste is a little different than yours. I also love all the greats, Sinatra, Belafonte, Bennet, etc….love the apron dress…..
If you’re on odd day watering does that mean you get to water 2 days in a row on the 31st of the month with the next day being the 1st?
