Tomatoes get all the praise but the difference between the average store bought strawberry and one from the garden is extreme. Also they are one of the easiest to grow.
Hi! Which brand of premixed soil would you recommend?
I have a question about gardening lingo. My mom paid for strawberry plants described as "rooted." She thought she was getting plants in pots. Instead she received a bundle of bare root plants. Did mom misunderstand or did the seller not send what was described?

New sub here. Silly question perhaps but quite important (for me) since I have much strawberry plants in different media & containers. Can I use just standard potting soil or do I need more sand? I have some plants in standard potting soil in the quads; some in strawberry pots (ceramic) with sand… and I'm just confused. I have strawberries from them all but I'm only in year 3, some everbearing, some not. Thank you so much!!!

What are your thoughts on the good ole π planters that have 9 holes tiring up to the top about 2 ft high? I just inherited 2 large π planters.π±π»β
In my tropical lowland area I think they can only be grown in pots so they can be moved around or else they'd die if fhey get too much sun or they got rained on.
up to how many containers would you recommend to stack?

I know I already replied once, but I have a little story to share with anyone who might be having the same problem I had..
So, long story short, I have suffered with bad migraine headaches for years (at least 5 bad ones a month that would last all day no matter what medicine I tried), and fruit has never been a part of my diet.. Well, I found of video of a woman explaining how fruit can relive and even prevent a migraine.. I started eating 4 to 5 strawberries every morning and I haven't had any migraines in over a month, which is a big change. The strawberry fruit alone was / is practically a miracle cure for my migraines. So, I'm currently growing strawberries in my garden, as well as other fruit.. π
There's two sizes of mr. Stacky, medium (each container is L/W: 13" H: 5.5" 4.5 dry quarts) and large (each container is L/W: 18" H: 7.5" 12.5 dry quarts) which do you recommend? I'll be growing seascape strawberries from bare root

I just got a kiddie pool off the side of the road to make a strawberry plot.
My strawberry plant I planted in the ground here in Tennesee were green and growing even in snow. Covered in snow. It didn't kill it. Now in May Im picking bowls of them.
May be a silly question. When you "re-fertilize", do you mix the powder with soil again. Then add on top?
This is my first year growing strawberries.
Stackable strawberry towers didnβt work for me. Unless youβre willing to rotate it frequently or have a good location, one side of the tower doesnβt get any sunlight. And that side, my bare roots just died. But then I have an patio on an south-east facing location and it might be better for a backyard without obstructions.

No idea if youll ever see this, but if you do, I have a question. I have a small studio apartment with no outside space of my own, so i ordered a grow light and am designating a vloset to a veggie grow room and started strawberries. I keep seeing these strawberry planter bags that have gaps all aepund the sides for another strawberry plantto be put into, but that leaves the entire middle free. Would it be possible to plant something different in the top that digs deeper roots, like potatoes or carrots or tomatoes, or do those types of plants not play well together while unsupervised?

So little fun information for you. We have raspberry bush that tried to give fruit but unfortunately the birds attack at faster than we can get to net the berries. I decided to burn it with a torch. Guess what Decided to grow this year. That's right. Revenge of the raspberry Bush. This year I'm going to take a four post tomato cage with some fine netting
and see if I can't keep the birds from attacking it.. Now since I did cut it down and burn it I am not sure if I should net it and just leave it alone for a couple years

what abt the runners? my strawberries gave me fruits then continuously shooting out runners, hence it stopped producing fruits.
