  1. Great job! It reminds me of what I’ve done in the past. I slowly removed all the grass in my backyard. I don’t have any grass; just wood chips. I enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing. Happy Gardening!☺️

  3. A couple of my granddaughters have decided to become eco warrior's and want to start a a veggie plot in my garden. They're aged 18 and 20,but have never picked up a spade before. I can help, but this video looks great for them to watch before we start. Thanks 👏👏👍🙏🏻💖💖

  4. Got the daunting task of digging over my first vegetable garden tomorrow! Great video, very useful thank you.

  5. Starting a garden in our lawn, I never paid attention when my grandma worked her garden and now I've got to teach myself from scratch. Thanks for this video. Love the accent too

  6. Thank you for sharing!! Your soil is by far in better shape- I am working with Georgia’s red clay with leaf compost & kitchen compost..
    Loved seeing the process 🙏

  7. I looked after a lawn for 20 years and now I am getting it out to grow veggies, I have a few cement slabs and some cement bricks that I am putting into the soil to create some resistance to the grass coming back fast, I covered the place where grass is out with cardboard, then i insert short tubes (made from recycled soda bottles) cut into the cardboard. I plant my veggies into these tubes with the idea on minimal weeds and only watering into the tubes as I am trying to use as little water as possible as Cape Town, South Africa has water shortage problems.

  8. We moved into a new home last year. Our yard has no grass and is only graveled. Do you think digging a hole in the gravel and filling it out with good top soil and potting mix along with lots of compost would be good? We have no idea how to get ourselves a garden patch on top of gravelled land.

  9. My dad used to take care of my family garden and we grew tons of potatoes, carrots, asparagus, rhubarb, strawberries, radishes, apples, blackberries, pumpkins, squishes, courgettes and pears every year. He moved out a while ago and for years my gardens just been left to its own devices and after a bad heatwave everything died. My mum works full time and doesn’t have the time nor energy to care for it. I’ve convinced her to let me dig up the whole garden into veggie patches again. My first priorities are to get the strawberries, rhubarb, potatoes, radishes and carrots back up. Then I’m gonna try get the asparagus and courgettes growing again. I’ll see how it goes with convincing the raspberries and blackberries to grow again but I hope it’s successful. I just need a sunny day to get started now since it’s been raining for weeks.

  10. I'm starting a garden with my daughters and I have been so lost on how to start. My parents have a garden and it looks so good. But anywho my question is did u lightly went the soil. Where I live it's a lot of little stones and rocks mixed in and I'm having difficulties
