Front Yard Garden

Garden Bed Makeover & Planting ALL the plants! #provenwinners #floridagardening #zone9b #flowers

We recently made one of the flowerbeds by our front entry way larger, built a small retaining wall to fix a grading issue, and packed the garden bed full of plants! This video takes you through the entire growing season, and you can really see how a curb appeal makeover can really impact the feel of the space. Feel free to drop any questions you have in the comments below, and we appreciate you watching this video and giving it a thumbs up.

  1. Great job – love the layout! I’m going to add ‘Blue my mind’ to my garden – thanks for the video!

  2. 👍🏼Well done Joshua n Jose!! The bees in your area, must be very busy pollinating all of those BEE-utiful flowers!!🐝

That plan for extending the flower bed flows so well especially with the rock wall.

  3. Everything turned out great. I'm a new subscriber and I was introduced to your channel last night by @dig, plant, water repeat. She was right you guys are great! BTW we are neighbors I'm just up the road in the Plant City area…thanks for sharing 😍😍

  4. what do you think of ground cover thyme and cushion phlox? In my opinion that would be a nice conclusion to the newly made small wall. Settled there, they would grow over them and give a nice finish there for a long time due to the long flowering period.

  5. Howdy I grew up in south orlando kissimmee area did landscaping and design over 20 years but moved to outside huntsville Alabama in 2005 but I miss my tropical plants but I’m in 7b 8a in areas here you can grow Japanese banana some lantana angels trumpet canna Lilly. Elephant ear windmill palm needle palm do well here we have a 8 month active growing season here but can plant hardy trees shrubs and perennials thru November til march but there’s a lot of other plants that grow in 9b that grow here that are hardy but I love the vidieos u got makes me homesick some lol I’ll keep watching. 6. Where can I find the divider that you have to keep the grass from the flower beds? I like the look of it rather then the black plastic dividers.
