  1. Really like this feature video. About the Japanese beetles, milky spore works too. My thing is you should spread that over your entire yard, 2 acres here, it's not likely I'll do that, just part close to the garden. You guys with a smaller yard may like to look into that, I seen Yulia at y garden show how she handles the beetles.

  2. We live in the Charlotte, NC area and we use, BioAdvanced All-In-One Rose and Flower Care, Granules, 4 lb for Japanese beetles and it works really well. Feed the roses once a month with a cap full throughout the summer growing months.

  3. Thank you for this Q&A segment. Quick question, I lived in zone 9b as well, do you recommend compost as a mulch?

  4. The nematodes treatment is for decreasing the number of grubs found in your soil. This results in fewer emerging from the grub stage but does nothing to get rid of an infestation on your plants.

  5. I’m on my 3rd year with Supertunia Vista Bubblegum! Two years in a pot this year in the ground. They are going strong!! I’m in So Cal 10b.

  6. Great video as always Janey! Everything about you is just beautiful! You, your garden, and your glowing personality!! LOVE this channel!

  7. I was looking for the samething my Sunset grow zone. I'm in FL zone 8b. I'm going to call my Extension Office to see if they have the information. Thanks always enjoy your YouTube

  8. Hi Janey, Jasen (rose farm) said if you are loaded with Japanese Beetles, just cut all the roses and buds off. I know that sounds terrible. He explained they love the roses themself and the are only around for a month, after they surface from underground. By the time they go away your roses should return with a flush of buds. πŸ™πŸŒΉ

  9. I also use the Garden Time pathway ground cover. I started using it earlier in the year. I like that it mixes in with the soil and isn’t so chunky. I love your videos!

  10. Thank you Janey for this wonderful video. Garden Queen is one of my favorites, she is knowledgeable and fun! Kim

  11. Hi can you do a video of the garden bed under the oak tree? I would like to see the progress.

  12. Janey, I love your videos and all the information you share . I wanted to correct I thing you mentioned, Master Gardeners do get volunteer hours for working in a demonstration garden which will be used to educate the public but may not necessarily have community present during a work day.

  13. In our master gardener program in Texas working in public gardens count toward our yearly required volunteer hours. There is no requirement for us to educate. Some do some don’t. So there is something for everyone.

  14. What a great idea to share the comment ideas. Not everyone has time to go back and read through them. Thank you so much

  15. I have been inundated with white fly and I wonder if there is a tie between them and spider mite. The white fly is in my trees, in my plants, in my ponds! I don't use pesticides because my garden is mostly for wildlife, so besides hitting them with water, I don't know what else to do.

  16. Thank you so much for responding to my question about the Supertunias. You are a doll. 🌹Carmen

  17. I really want the evergreen clematis that you have. I am in zone 6. I get different info about that clematis. Some say zone 7, some say zone 6. I wonder if I should try it? I think it is quite expensive so not sure if I want to spend the money. What are your thoughts? Do you think it would winter over?

  18. Totally enjoyed this video. I hope you'll do this style once a week or once a month, its so informative, I'm sure it's alot of work too. Love the inclusion of veiwers tips. Great video as usual. Thank you, appreciate it. 😊

  19. Thanks for crediting Master Gardeners, most people don'tknow that every state that has a land grant college should ha e a Master Gardeners group. It is an awesome resource.

  20. Hi Janey. Where do you buy your ladybugs from and how do you release them? Do you just let them go in one part of your garden or spread them out😊

  21. Janey, Im glad we make you happy but the thing is that you make us all happier to be able to watch your great videos. Thank you. We are really experiencing the smoke in SE Wisconsin from the Canadian wild fires. Ive noticed some brown rust like spots on a couple of my established hydrangeas. I looked it up and it said it was a fungus and to remove the affected leaves and spray with neem oil. I did that. But Im also wondering if the hydrangeas could also be affected from the smoke that all of Wisconsin has been experiencing this month from the fires. Its been on the news that people should wear masks outside. Ive never seen it this severe. Thank you so much

  22. Hello we are in zone 9b just north of Sacramento. I find if I use a beat plant that spider mites like an aphids like I can plant it a far corner of my garden. Then the will leave my other plants alone.

  23. This was a wonderful video! I too just purchased alstromedia for the first time in yellow and I'm so excited to see how it performs in my garden.

  24. Oh my gosh! Janey thanks you for adding my question about Sunset growing zones! ( I feel like a celebrity!πŸ˜ƒ) I checked out your link! Fabulous! Now I see the difference in zones. Learned a ton just this morning! My sister is in southern cal near the coast. This is going to really help her out too! 🩷🌸πŸͺ

  25. I love black mulch too. I didn’t know that it was bad for our gardens. I still have 3 bags left. Can I use them if I’m in zone 5B?

  26. Hi Jany, just a quick question. How is your flower field doing? Enjoy your channel. I am in 9b in the delta. Loucor64

  27. Oh my gosh. I just checked out garden queen, and after one minute of watching, I love her!!

Thank you Jenny. I love everything about your videos and one thing I have to say that is the shining star is that you always seem very happy. This is a joy to witness.

  28. Janey, I know this has nothing to do with this video, but that shade of green looks beautiful on you, gorgeous πŸ’š

  29. i know you must be busy with your move but regarding the sunflower seeds, it was recommended to soak for 3 hours. Do you just put the seeds in water for 3 hours to germinate?

  30. I’m laser focused on the pink cannas over your right shoulder..Is there a specific variety to look for? It’s a beauty.I’ve only seen yellow or red here in Oklahoma.
