Creating a Custom Privacy Screen with Hummingbird Garden Trellises & Restoring a Neglected Garden!!!

Let the garden design renovation begin! Today we’re installing a hummingbird privacy screen and restoring a neglected garden! This garden has been a source of problems for many years, but after the removal of dangerous tree I’m ready to tackle this garden restoration. I used multiple hummingbird trellises to create a custom privacy screen. Then I restored the garden by adding sedum cuttings, sublime hydrangeas, and thin man arborvitaes. I finished up the area by giving it much needed weeding and mulching.

  1. That's a wonderful area in your second front yard. I have had the same idea about using trellis but wanted all of them to match. A budget is something else for me. But will do it in sections. You have motivated me to get started. Thank you.

  2. It's all so lovely. I'm years away from creating my garden oasis. (Those chairs could use a power wash, wish I could do it for you, I just did a weeks work on the back of my house, front and sides are fall projects)😊

  3. LOVE the panels!
My husband and I live on a corner too, I’ve been struggling with the traffic passing by vs privacy. Our property sits approximately 6 feet above the road, and even though it’s a blessing, I still need privacy. Your update to your property is so inspiring! I notice you have no-dig fencing installed- how do you like it?
We have the short height of no-dig in our backyard and I really like it. I’m going to continue the fencing around the front of the yard to help with the design of the entire property and garden areas. I’m in Northwest Georgia in the middle of a farming community (we don’t have a farm though 😢). Zone 7b I love the hydrangeas! My absolute favorite! Some of the varieties should work in our very shaded front yard. You’ve provided some very beautiful designs!
Thank you for your channel, I really enjoy it!

  4. So beautiful. I don't think I'd seen all the large tree area that was giving you problems. I wish I could have seen a clip of just after they removed the trees from different angels. The trellises create beauty for your garend and for your neighbors to see also.

  5. Wow! So beautiful Danielle. You're painting such a wonderful masterpiece. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

  6. I think you should drive some rebar into the ground and wire the screen to it. Your husband will need to pound it in. You won’t see it.
