This Method Of Trellising Veggies Is MAGIC [Better Than Staking]

In today’s 2 minute garden tip, I share the best way to support plants in your garden! String trellising allows growing plants to unlimited height using an innovative concept called Lower And Lean. By supporting plants with twine and clips, you can grow vining plants to an unlimited height while providing strong support. This method of trellising veggies it magic and better than staking!

Since discovering this method, I no longer stake plants. This method is less expensive, stronger and more versatile than staking. A string trellis sways in wind, alleviating pressure, so it’s actually less likely to damage plants in wind than rigid staking. 1. I saw you using this trellising last year and ordered immediately and started my garden using the vertical method. I am cleaning house now with produce coming on the vine. Being a bee and it’s an awesome sight. Very pleased with the process this year. So happy. Thanks!!

  2. I just got my hooks and clips in yesterday and I’m hype. I’ve got my seedling trays loaded down for my fall planting. Can’t wait to see how well my trellis is going to work

  3. I found your channel and was like wow!! I am a little late trellising but it is working. This has been so helpful. Thank you so much for your hard work sharing your garden growing tips.

  4. yes, even if you dont get to "lower and lean", the hooks with the line, and the vertical growing method overall, is much more convenient than other ways, for indeterminate tomatoes. i also grow cucumber this way. driptape along the rows for easy fertilizing and watering.
tall vertical posts tend to bend, producing sag, so i've installed rigid crossbar.
the toma-hooks and clips will last me many years.

  5. There were 2 tomatoe clips in description, do they both clip to the string as well as going around the stem of the plant ? I want the ones that do both. Thanks, I love your channel and your info is spot on.
