It’s true! We have crows that do this for us as well. My daughter left them a shiny treat and they took it and replaced it with a gift for us. It’s on going and fun to watch!😊

Maybe leave a little basket next to their treat spot and put the last treat they left you in there, you will almost definitely train them to leave the gifts there for you, especially if you sprinkle one or two in the gift basket as a reward for investigating
You need to play with something shiny. Or what you want every time you're out there. Feeding them or just sitting, they'll get the idea. That's what you like, and that's what they'll bring.

Crows are intelligent birds. They also are attracted to shiny objects – enjoy them. I had a crow “friend”as a young teen.
