My FREE light meter app is now available for Android! (link in profile – sorry iOS, still working on it) Although I love my dedicated light meters, having one on my phone meant that I could get some sense of the light intensity whereever I went since I’m always thinking “would a plant be happy here?”

What’s different about my app? It also shows the camera output so you can understand how the physical environment affects the light meter reading. This is how I came up with “see as much of the sky as possible” – watch how the meter reading increases as angle of visible sky (or grow light in this case) increases.
