  1. I’ve been getting a few comments that I didn’t plant enough tomatoes for everything I want to put up. I’ll be so blessed and thankful for what I do get from my own garden. I’m working with what space I have. I have at least 10 more tomato plants growing that I will put in buckets and I also plan on supporting some locals this summer and buy from them! ❀ Happy Gardening!

  2. Beautiful start to your garden. Praying blessings on your efforts. Having gardened in a raised bed for years,I strongly recommend a good thick mulch cover for your soil. Raised beds dry out SO fast, and in the heat of summer you’ll find yourself watering constantly without mulch.

  3. Our very first garden as a couple. I had to work on the Saturday, so he went and got plants. Neither of us are unfamiliar with gardening. I told him I wanted 3-6 tomatoes. He got 3 flats and thought if I wanted more we’d do them the following week. Yes. 3 FLATS! We had tomatoes coming out of our ears! Gave them to EVERYONE WE KNEW, MET, SAW! Live and learn! And learn we did. Experience. It’s all about experience! Have fun with it all! (First garden was 35 years ago!)

  4. Try rubbing your nails over a bar of soap to block dirt and mud from getting under and around your fingernails- saw this hack on another you tube gardening channel!
    Happy clean gardening!

  5. I work somewhere that we sell gardening gloves and they are selling like crazy as are plants.

I myself have never used gloves to garden. I can't even imagine it, my hands go right in the soil and always have. My folks never used them either and I can't picture them doing so.

After gardening all day, jump in the shower. Just wash one's hair and the nails will be as clean as can be. Barefoot in the garden though is another story, something I always did/do. Soles of feet are about permanently dark all summer as I am barefoot all summer if I can be.

One year I had a wedding I was to stand up in in sandals and dress, etc. and I had to leave a camping trip to get home and soak and scrub my feet and then go get my makeup done etc. Lol. It about killed me dressing up instead of enjoying the summer barefoot, outside, camping and gardening, etc.

And then this friend got married on the 4th of July weekend which for a YEAR we had planned with other friends to camp out of town with (we had to plan way ahead as we had trouble coordinating our schedules for a long awaited trip together) so I had to leave in the middle of the weekend to drive home to go be in her wedding… When I agreed to stand up, it was set for a different weekend.

Do NOT get married on summer holiday weekends people. Jmo.

  6. Winston is sitting patiently in the back seat. Too cute! My first raised bed cost me $275. I WAS SHOCKED. I have 2 more raised bed coming at a much cheaper price. I only have 3 tomato plants left that are barely thriving. I have pulled up 4 and thrown them away. So far my worst year of gardening. Tiller broke. Raised beds and 5 gallon buckets this year. Way more expensive.

  7. How exciting to grow a little garden! Love your raised bed too. Looking forward to see how the plants grow and produce. Good for you! I plan to start a few seeds in containers this year also.

  8. The dollar general was having a buy 1 get half off of the pots not sure if it's still going on, but it's worth a look!!! You are doing great! πŸ₯°
