Can you substitute peat for something else as they are pretty much trying to stop use of peat in the uk due to the decimation of the Irish peat bogs

How long after, if ever, do you re-fertilize the containers. I followed your formula and my plants look amazing but I assume the initial addition of bone and fish meal won’t last the life of the plant. Thanks

Hello Nancy and Hollis. Do you worry about the acidity of the peat moss at all or does the black kow and other potting mix even out the ph in the ratio? I did notice you use Dolomitic lime when planting sometimes.

Make potting soil using potting soil?! My goal is to find a cheap way to make potting soil. This method runs me the same cost as just buying potting soil. Black kow is $6 a bag and peat moss ain't cheap no more.

The potting mix you use is it the 64 quart bag or the 32
I have a question. Is putting in the bag of potting mix really necessary? And could you add some Garden-tone to your basic mix instead of using a bag of potting mix the reason I’m asking is because we mix up by the truckload. I need a good blend it’s not going to dry out or get waterlogged.
