As a horticulturist, teaching and sharing this amazing world of growing your food, utilizing your harvest, and homesteading with your family, is a passion. Each week we post a video on the garden, another aspect of homesteading life, or simply on the wildness of raising a large family in the country. Welcome to the garden, to the kitchen, and to our small farm in South Carolina.

We hope to encourage people to grow their own food, feel confident in homesteading, and live a life both messy and beautiful, because this life comes with a bit of dirt and a lot of love.

  1. Hi Natasha 👋 a wonderful garden tour as always. I use a Sharpie brand marker and white garden tags that have a shiny and a flat side . The flat side is made so the marker won't rub off . Thanks for the chocolate tomato mention….. I guess it's all on me if you all don't like then 😉 my strawberries should be ready for the first picking in the next week or so. It's hard to believe two years in the process and 25 plants would yield what I'm seeing . Will send you a picture.. Thanks for sharing and being my favorite gardening channel.   2. You are so adorable. I love your dress❤️ my Roma’s and Wyche’s are on fire!! I have 25 combined. It’s all I grow in Southern Oregon because for some reasons the pests leave them completely alone. They prefer my squash lol. I am ahead of these little monsters this year with neem. Not waiting until they move in.

    Also – I’m growing the Cucuzzi gourd for the first time this year and would love to hear more on how you use it! It’s a beautiful and fascinating plant
