  1. Powdery mildew is something that I work hard to eliminate. So far, not much luck. My plants are on drip and I literally soak them with neem oil.

  2. What should we wash our garden tools in that won't cause them to rust, but will still kill plant disease that my get on them? Thank you!

  3. I finally got my first male flower and it never opened up it just died on me so will the female flower the one that has the watermelon on it grow by itself and will I get more male flowers I have 4 plants just wondering why it died on me I am giving them water and miracle grow fetlizer every 2 weeks

  4. When using sprays for powdery mildew don’t do it in the heat of the day as it can burn your leaves or on a windy day and spray the whole plant including the stem .

  5. Last year I used Neem oil on my huge grapevine and it helped a lot. They were delicious! This year the mold has already attacked the baby grapes and white flies are everywhere. (We were gone for a few weeks). Do you suggest this new product, or stay with the Neem oil?

  6. This year has been super bad, my God, its never been this bad for me. My tomatoes, my cucumbers, roses, everything.

  7. Kim I'm glad you got your powdery mildew under control it hasn't come into my garden yet but I will be ready when it does

  8. It is hot and humid here in central Alabama. Fungus and powdery mildew are a persistent problem in late spring and summer. To combat fungus, I use one-two ounces of hydrogen peroxide to a quart of water, and spray weekly. For powdery mildew, I use one table spoon of baking soda to a quart of water, and spray weekly. Generally I am combatting both, so I mix the hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and water together, so I am only spraying once. If you don't measure, and eyeball it like me, it is okay to go a little heavy with the ingredients. Squash bugs are also problem in my area. For them, I put a good squirt of Dawn dish detergent into my small sprayer, call it a three pints, shake, and spray the hell out of the critters. It kills them almost instantly. It isn't toxic, to it doesn't kill the eggs. Duck tape works good for removing them. Note, it is important that the dish detergent contains degreaser for it to work.
