In today’s quick video I am going to show simple steps to successfully planting dahlia tubers. It is very simple to do. Plant the tuber 4 to 6 inches deep, I recommend 6 inches deep. They need to be planted deep to help support the heavy plant and flowers.

If you follow these simple steps to successfully planting dahlia tubers, you will have beautiful dahila flowers all summer long.

  1. I have had dahlias I grew from seed planted for at least a month. I’ve never grown before and the surprise frost didn’t help. I’m not sure what they like and one variety is giant and look ok the others were looking lime green. And it’s difficult to figure out if lower leaves are from under or over watering.
    We need rain in WI!
