  1. We have 3 lowes in our area, they have 50-60% off on all perennials after Memorial day. I go to Lowes every week. So cheap. I saw a Hydrangea marked down to $12.50. Everyone nows goes to CLEARANCE RACK

  2. I’ve been compacting my own soil😢 was wondering why watering wasn’t penetrating. How do I fix this after the fact?

  3. Btw, I’m enjoying watching your channel as I get to take a break from the 100+ degree temps plus we’re having for about a week. 😮You remind me so much of myself in my earlier garden. When I decide to move (transplant) an established plant or have my husband move it to a new (better) home, it’s so gratifying. Fyi: I am in zone 9B (H-Town Houston), so if I can transplant a plant in the middle of summer and it last surely you can in Kansas. Just be sure to water it often, ev., 3-4 days for about a good two weeks and then twice a week for about another two weeks before putting on a regular schedule BUT FIRST, give all your new plantings some fish emulsion as a good root stimulator. “By chance gardening” allows our creativity to soar. Happy gardening.

  4. A plus, what’s the lifespan on the Japanese maple and do you think it’s will grow well in Chicago?you are again doing an excellent job.keep it up,enjoy your channel.

  5. I am so envious, I try to make my gardens look like this using plants that will not only live but thrive here in Phoenix. With the help of trees and 9’ umbrellas and living with a hose in my hand, it can happen. So what if I have to take one shower a month ( just kidding ) I gave up a pool, so I could use that water usage for my ponds and garden.

  6. I watched the before and after video and I am amazed at your skills and hard work and obvious talent! I didn’t know you could limb up a freshly planted tree.

  7. Love it! I garden the same way, and my gardens evolve as I get inspired. I move plants around a lot. Love that little area, and I covet your driftwood.
Would you consider removing the Purple Pride Beauty berry and putting in something with a different texture and/or a different color? To my eye, it looks very much the same as what is surrounding it, so if you planted something to echo your Bloodgood and heucheras, or something yellow, chartreuse, or blue it would break up that sameness and carry your color around.

  8. Your planning is spot on thank you for sharing all beautiful layout and look forward to more 🙌🥰Karen from Australia 🇦🇺

  9. Just wondering. Wouldn’t the japanese maples roots be disturbed with competing azaleas and hydrangeas roots? I am a novice gardener and still lots to learn 🙏🏼

  10. I absolutely love your channel and Garden! I started watching Laura from Garden Answer like you. Several years ago. Got inspired. 😊 stumbled along your channel a month ago. You're fairly close to me. Being in St. louis. I love your ideas and where I want my garden to be in a couple years ❤ cheers 🍻

  11. You're continuing to add to your beautiful corner of the world! The golden smoke bush you have – approximately how many hours of sun does it get daily, and iscit mirning or afternoon sun? I just bought one, and I'm debating between 2 locations in my yard to plant it.. Thank you!

  12. Just found your channel and so glad I did! I live in Overland Park and I am certainly impressed with how good your soil looks! Excited to watch your content 😊
