This Common Fertilizer Mistake Is RUINING Your Garden’s Productivity!

In today’s 2 minute garden tip, I discuss a common fertilizer mistake that may be ruining your garden’s productivity. When fertilizing your garden, it is important to choose the correct fertilizers with the right balance of nutrients to support the type of plant you’re growing. Failure to apply the correct fertilizers can result in poor growth, lack of flowering and poor fruit production. Many gardeners see poor results due to improper fertilizing.

Fertilizers predominantly consist of three macro-nutrients: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K). These three elements make up the N-P-K ratio, which are the percentages by weight of each macro-nutrient found in the fertilizer. These macro-nutrients have different effects on the plant, and the NPK ratio can determine whether plants dedicate most of their energy to leafy green growth, flowers and fruiting, or root growth. Pair the proper fertilizer with the proper plants at the proper time or you can see reduced harvests.

  1. You know, for four years Ive used Black Kow manure and had amazing results on everything from cucumbers to tomatores to pumpkins and cantalope. It is balanced and retains water well

  2. How do i know if my homemade compost has too much of something and not enough of something else tho,, i am composting over winter (NZ, added lots of fall leaves that hav started breaking down under trees in the yard yesterday, in my greenhouse beds to sow into in spring now i dont know if im doing the right thing lol ,, btw i love ya vids 🌱🌾

  3. Dangit i just got a 36 dollar box of that to try, unopenec wonder if i can switch it out for the other flavor

  4. Enjoyed your "Two-Minute" video (accomplished in only four an' a half minutes!) Please keep posting content…many feel that N alone is the "magic elixir which cures all ails and "shore makes stuff grow!" Commercial blenders know this and lean heavily on the N. Not a problem if you "stick to" the "real fertilizers." (pun intended) I'm guessing you"re guessing "manures."

  5. Okay so a friend of mine is a farmer and he told me to use General Hydroponics which I use in my veggie garden it tells you the ratios per gallon on there and at what point to feed it does pretty well it's in a raised garden bed

  6. While tomatoes are BOTANICALLY fruits, per an 1893 Supreme Court decision, for purposes of LAW, they are considered vegetables (the case arose from different tax rates for the two).
Once my beloved late wife asked me- "What do you DO on that computer all the time?" (She worked all day on a computer had no interest once home). I replied (in EXHAUSTIVE detail) about my research into that topic. She gave me a blank stare, heaved a sigh, and said- "I was hoping it was something normal, like an online porn addiction!" Lord, I miss her so!

  7. I really want to like these videos but the focus on buying particular products makes me question how much is genuine knowledge and how much is just selling out to make money on the channel. 🧐
