  1. Humorous. 😅 It's been a month since you uploaded this vid, yet, if for some random reason ya want to make another cement planter, "Sony Le – Home and Garden channel" has some pretty useful diy videos on this subject…just say'n, could be helpful to someone. Anyway, the planted planter looks great! 👍

  2. Uses a track saw, then a jig saw cuz it doesn't have to be perfect……

  3. Eps concrete could be used for this also … will require a surface layer on the outside and the top edge , the nice ting with eps is that it protects the planted material from frost better , than ordinary concrete.
And its lighter, metal wire can be winded on top of eps layer under tthe surface layer at the rim to strengthen the planter.

  4. I love the spirit of experimentation associated with this and your “let’s give it a go” attitude. Fun vid to watch.

  5. Take a look how this guy makes his table with a false bottom. I know you won’t understand Portuguese, but I am sure you will get it, of course. Also, note how his concrete is way more watery than yours. He makes his own tools and he even sells them. Don’t show your wife, she will think it is a piece of cake 😂
If you need translations I can help you with that. https://youtu.be/vut7CzsCfCs

  6. Brilliant video. Now all I have to do is ask my husband to make me a concrete planter eh?
    🙂 🙂

  7. Why why why why why didn't you use hypertufa instead? It would have been SO much lighter!

  8. How many morons does it take to make a bowl 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Funny video, thanks!

  9. Nice video! Make a planter using old towels! It will be really thin, light weight and 10 times easier! That is what I do for my bonsai plants. Even large ones. You just deep the towel in concrete with more water to make the mixture like an yogurt texture. Then you put the towel over the format you want and cut with strong scisors. When It’s dry you “paint”with a very liguid cement mixture using paint brush.

  10. Random question … could this be used as a fire pit? Like a diy version of those expensive concrete bowl fire pits you find at Pottery Barn?

  11. Hahahaha as I watched I was wondering why you didn’t put a big plastic bowl under the sand and how is he getting that pipe out of there with it dry. Hahaha thanks for a good laugh.

  12. 6:01 “spinny things”
These are the small things that make me chuckle

11:17 I think it would’ve been funny if you had, at this point, stopped to spray the water a few times inside your mouth, and then resume spraying the mold

16:39 I don’t know why, I laughed out loud watching you throw that shovel full of dirt, and then turn around and start talking

18:14 did you say “check out Policygenius” or “check out policy, genius“?

23:42 “he kind of fell into a pile of sand“
    😆

24:32 for the past several minutes I’ve been watching these guys and thinking of the exploits of Wile E Coyote.

  13. Just a FYI for future planting projects.
Ypu only need 9inches of soil MAX for planting.
I usually fill anything under that with wood and sticks.
