  1. Because you have so much dirt maybe a dump truck would be good to get rid of dirt. Or using the dirt to raise the sloap so you have a nice level pad for Leo to have a swing set and play yard. Grass. Alley to have a garden area to grow some veggies. Another driveway so when you have a load of something it makes it easier for delivery of materials with a circular driveway. Maybe someone in the mountain needs dirt to fill in ruts maybe you could deal with excessive dirt that way.

  2. Allie I defrosted and cleaned out my freezer yesterday after watching this video. I had been putting it off for months as it's a surprinsgly big job and my energy levels and mood hasn't been the best lately. You pushed me forward and I now have a lovely frost free and clean freezer. Depression is a monster. We'll fight it one small job at a time. You have my thanks.

  3. I see Leo is a one-shoe bandit as well. When my kids were small they always seemed to end up walking around with one sock/shoe on. We would call them the one-sock bandit or the one-shoe bandit depending on what they had on at the time. It always puzzled me. You would think they would take both off or leave both on. Oh well. Good times.

  4. For the man cave/workshop highly recommend covering the side walls in plywood. By adding French cleats makes adding multi various storage units for tools and cupboards easy and relocatable :).

  5. Oh Allie! I didn’t realize it last October/November/December, I was crying every day and finally figured out that I was depressed. I came across a song “Brighter Days” by Blessing Offor. It really helped me realize that it was just a phase of life and that better days are ahead.

  6. ❤️ Allie you would never know that you were suffering the first year of Leo’s life, so happy your much better now. Thank you for the hug 🥰 sending a huge hug right back to you. Stay safe ❤️

  7. Moving dirt and exposing the wet dirt underneath probably will speed things up–if you can do it the right way. I had a big build with concrete pour in SOUP a couple of years ago…the concrete/excavation guys came out with a skid steer and moved the dirt around exposing the wet underneath and I thot they were nuts and it would NEVER dry…but within 1/2 a day the soup became peanut butter and then another 1/2 day it was wet clay and it just got better and better. They just moved the dirt to expose the wet, then moved somewhere else and did the same thing while the first section was exposed to sun and dry air…over and over again…I thot they were fighting a losing battle but within a day or two it was done…

  8. Please for the love of Pete use all the extra excavation soil from the addition to begin creating the other side of your driveway. Where you want to make the pull through by your electrical meter. It’s free dirt.

  9. Looks like if you are going to put a pool in your days of RVing are over. Do you think you will miss it?

  10. Allie, thank you for sharing it means a lot to me. My last pregnacy i new i was depressed and yes it is hard to come out of it. I am curntly in a depression right now because i got hurt at work and i love working 40+ hours. Now i am trying to be come a stay at home mom again after working 4 years in one place i thought i had my forrver job. That is hard to overcome. My husben is the full time stay at home dad he is wonderfull and he home teaches all 4 kids this year. I am trying to do a garden this year the kids do most of the work and i get to sit back and teach thim how to do it. You tuched me when you said give a big hug to all the one that need it. It tuched me deep in side my heart you are a insperation to me thank you we have been home steding for years now and sence i am home all the time it is hard for me to get around now so keep me in your thoughts. Thank you i love your chanel. I am so glad that this chanel keeps me going thank you. Trent thank you so much too keep up the good work you are both doing i know it is hard but little bye little it will all get done.

  11. It won't be the end of the world if you don't get the addition built by snowfall. Leo can continue to sleep in your room. Families live like that all over the world for a lot longer. Get as much done as you can but take the pressure off thinking it HAS to be done. It seems you are putting a lot of pressure on yourselves which will take the enjoyment out of the whole building process.

  12. Build it on screw piles if you don't have a lot of rock. These are the bomb – and totally harsh winter certified.

  13. You guys should turn rusty into a tiny micro camper and lift it to have a home you can bring with you when you go rock crawling
