Hi Helen! I just love your channel! I was crushed to see that you had to cut down those beautiful sunflowers…. What’s wrong with people? Ugh any way…. On Sun June 4 we had a hail storm in Tampa and my plants now are in shock. The pineapple leaves, blueberries blackberries fig papaya lemon lime banana everything else got bashed up. I’m trying to give some tlc and get them back on track. But I have new baby banana and a jalapeño just popped up🙂. I’ve tried growing sunflowers but mine aren’t taking. Do you sell your seeds? They’re soooo beautiful and I’ve never seen an orange sunflower. I’ll have to look back to see where you got your seeds. That cantaloupe is a funny surprise! Your garden is soooooo beautiful! You put in a lot of work. I want to get one of those towers too! Ok watching rest of your video…. I hope everyone is feeling well. Blessings from Tampa Florida 🌴

Im in Ohio and I have my heat on! It's almost the the middle of June! I also have a Huge Maple tree that covers the entire back of my house which is where the dining, living rooms, and two bedrooms. The bedroom on the front of the house gets full sun.
There is one spot in the backyard where I get sun.
Purple Hull peas have the richest savory broth ever. We used to grow them in our grandparents garden growing up. Them and cranberry beans.

Hey Helen! I grew cantaloupes last year in Houston and baby we had at least 12 cantaloupes growing and they sweet in the heat! 😊

Hello Helen. Have you ever tried Diatomaceous Earth for your ant problem. It worked really well for me. Love the garden.

The pink flowers are also called Portulaca. I just love them and they come in many beautiful colors!

Girl! Don’t make me drive all the way to Houston area looking for purple hull peas! They are my favorites. I’m not growing peas this year, N Texas zone 8a. I can’t wait for my sunflowers to put flowers out. They are growing tall but no flowers yet. Helen, thank you for the encouragement-as you get excited about your garden, I get excited about yours and mine, too!

Dawn is a dishwashing detergent, which is quite useful for exterminating ants. The best part is that it is harmless to both plants and grass. Mix 2 teaspoons of Dawn with 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 gallon of water. This solution is deadly to pests.) hope it works..

They look like cucumber melons–there are many different varieties of them. I love the bag idea. I think I need to buy some of those. What a shame you had to cut down your sunflowers. I do all my gardening at night. Otherwise the heat would kill me–that and the bugs, wasps etc. I know it sounds crazy, but it works. I use ac condensate to water and water at 5am. I LOVE LOVE all your gardening videos. You have taught me so much. Thank you.
