I was looking for something that would still give me enjoyment because I love plants, but wouldn’t be the hard work that it ended up being. Wonderful. He came and he knew that I was nervous because it was going to be a big step for me and it was going to be expensive, so I didn’t want to go wrong. But he was just so reassuring. He knew exactly what I wanted. I’d got a picture on the internet off YouTube of something I thought. He said, “yep,” that’s the kind of thing he’d thought of, and he just took it from there, brought me plans, discussed them. If I had any queries, answered them. He was wonderful.

Fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. I just fed them cups of tea every hour, cups of tea. They were reassuring because in the early stages I was thinking, “my God, am I doing the right thing? This is my garden going.” And they would say, “yeah, it’d be great. It’d be great. You know it’ll be great.”
And it is. It is. They were lovely. It looks good. It looks good. It feels good, and I have now got time to sit in it and enjoy it. Whereas before I would go with my cup of tea to sit in it and I would work because there were too many things to do. I just feel that it had come to the stage where I have got friends who’ve downsized because the garden was too heavy for them.
And I could see that that would be where I was going. And I don’t want to downsize. This is a small house. I love it. I love where it is, and it’s given me just an extra dimension to my life. I love it. I’ve told everybody. They were friendly, but they were professional. And nothing was too much trouble for them. I had a plant in a pot that I had to get out and they struggled, but they did it. They were just so willing.
