Hi Liz! I told my daughter that, too, on how other gardeners dress in their garden. Even in triple digits, I'm in the garden with sweat pants and long sleeve thermal 😂. Yesterday, I went outside for no more than 10 minutes, and I had on shorts. I came into the house with 2 mosquito bites on my leg😮. Crazy!
I’m one of those people who genetically has no histamine response to mosquitoes. I used to think they just didn’t bite me, but I saw one on me one day. Trust, I feel lucky.

I'm wondering if you've had a lot of rain or not getting enough water too may be the issue with the watermelons because otherwise they look good🤔 … love your garden and boy that hose got stubborn, didn't it?. Can't wait to see what other plants you'll add too the hydrangea hideaway 😊
I wear thin UV jackets in the garden year round, for sun protection and to keep mosquitoes off me.

I like the upgrade to the hydrangea hideaway!! I just bought us some mosquito repellent bracelets along with citronella incense. So far it helps. i don't know how long we can use the bracelets though.

The garden is looking great! I’ve been having the same wilting issue on my squash vining plant. I’ve been seeing this orange bug with black legs and killing them as I can. I’m not sure but right now I believe they are sucking the leaves dry. The jury is still out but I think it’s called an assassin bug of some sort. 🤷🏽♀️
