This will be wonderful with about 3 along the fence with strawberries! Now to put my hubby to work cause lord knows he doesn’t have nearly enough work already!
James, you are such a generous man! I love this channel!
Hey just in time for my set of plans to arrive today!
Amazing work, James! Really beautiful planter! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Lol. Its funny. I've bought everything in your ultimate outdoor pack except the kids' chairs.
Another wonderful King family project. This planter is perfect and I think I most definitely need one to plant some strawberries in. Thanks for sharing.
Another great project! Just ordered the plans and can't wait to get started. Thanks for the great video!
Wow, 1.98 per cedar pucket??? I just paid 3.48 and thiught I'd got a good deal. They had been $5.00 ea.
Another great video and a very useful planter. I really enjoy watching your videos, you narrate like a great instructor. You must be feeling really good that your daughter is coming back and working with you.
Excelente projeto 👏👍
Another great project. Sometimes I think you own stock in the glue company but it’s great!
Pretty clever planter and it would look great on any patio!
Awesome and another great and useful video..,,, Thanks!!
My cousin asked me to do something similar to this the other day, I said I'd have to plan something out. Thank you for some inspiration.
Have you had problem with direct sunlight and reflective heat from the concrete or wall .. Was wondering if they may need a shade cloth. Oh and how often would you need to hydrate.. not sure how drying that wood would be? Nice work. Thank you.
You do amazing work james
Really nice, James. I really like the simplicity of the construction.

Another great video Mr James! Thanks for the info! Just wanted to ad check Direct Tools Ridgid 18gauge nailer always goes on sale around holidays pick one up about $40.00 they are part of TTI that make Ridgid Ryobi an Milwaukee 😊
Good looking design. Although i would probably not double up the 2×4 on the legs. They look too imposing to me.
This is a great project. You need to add some kind of drainage to the planters so the water doesn't sit and rot the pickets. Either some holes in the poikets or a slight gap in the bottom between them. But still a terrific build.
Another great video, You did very well. This looks so good.👏👏
Good project for a gardener. Easy to build and cheap. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Tried to look up this lumber or something similar to it and Home Depot in my area doesn’t carry this wood at all
King uncle, you're the best!
this is a great idea!
Great project, Mr. King!!!
James I absolutely love you videos. Yours is my favorite channel and I enjoy watching your entire family working together. You brought my love for woodworking back to life a few years ago and I really want to say thank you!
First time viewer, thanks for the video. Excellent presentation, and you teach very well – Just purchased these plans. May I suggest a video for a toddler '3 in 1 High Chair, Rocking Horse, Desk'.
Hi James and family. Wow, an amazing planter unit 👌. I really enjoyed this build. You made it look so easy, perhaps it is 😅. As always, great video content and narration. Stay safe and God Bless 🙏. Love and peace from a cold winters day in South Africa.
Awesome! So nice to see a lot of your relatives helping out in the shop!
Just a quick question; you mentioned using a #6 X 11/2" SS finishing screw on the pickets. The video shows that they are Zinc, will these cause black drip marks on the cedar? Thanks.
As always an excellent video and project.
I see you have acouple of those grippers for pushing wood through a table saw. How do you like them? I have two for cutting narrow strips. Haven't used them yet but I'm sure they'll be fine.
So where are the chains to secure it to the house cuz these puppys will get stolen quick. Two people could just carry it off.
Great concept for a planter, definitely superior to the weaker designs out there. Plus, I've always loved the 'constructed dado' method, and was glad to see it put to good use. Regarding the workbench wheels, I'd love sometime to see your treatment of a set of those shopmade extending/retracting casters, where you raise the cabinet or whatever a half inch for rolling, by mounting small casters to a hinged board, which uses a lever to straighten the board, in turn pushing the caster down and the cabinet up. Figuring the angles (unless you buy someone's plans) has always been hit or miss, trial and error. I think with your expertise in multiple fields, you could pull back the covers and show how to plan those angles on paper, with the underlying geometry. That would really be something to know, and I can think of no better teacher to impart that knowledge.
