  1. That's funny, I downloaded this app a couple of weeks ago. I hope they continue to add to the companion do and don't list. I also thought it would be interesting to have the ability to add pictures to a journal, so you could say, compare growth at a particular date year on year. Definitely a lot of possibilities. I'm just using the free version now. I didn't look, but i hope it's a one time purchase, because i refuse to buy apps with monthly subscriptions if i can help it. Good to know you're involved. I'm sure you will help make this a great app. – Cheers

  2. So the big problem and I mean huge 🐳with the app is you do not have an easy add plant button that covers all plants 🌵just your small list. Well I grow 100s of plants not even on the list. No problem right well I can't just add the name of plant and pick a pre-made picture nope. I have to pick one of the basic plants. So this would be very cool for the novice backyard Gardner, but there is always room for the app to improve.
So the date is June 10 23. Hope it gets better very good start guys!

  3. I love the planter app! I got it this spring and bought the life time subscription. I am impressed with all of the updates and improvements so far. I am looking forward to all of the future improvements too.

  4. I was shopping for gardening apps at the beginning of the year and fairly frustrated by what was available at first glance, it seems to be heads and shoulders above the competition and hits on my core asks. I bought the lifetime subscription in a heartbeat.

Excited to see what's to come because there's definitely potential to grow on a solid foundation

As is, the planning tool is a bit too dependant on a square foot gardening methodology for my taste, but I also don't know how to do that much better.

  5. Downloaded the app. Havent had a good look yet, but I notice measurements are in feet and inches. We use metres here, so it would be good if there was an option here. It looks nice, and I look forward to the updates.

  6. Is this for all growing zones? We, in 9b, central Florida, are starting seeds for fall planting in Aug/Sept. And seed varieties, dies it have most varieties? That's all my questions for now. I only have so much money and really have to spend wisely.

  7. Thanks Scott! I really like the Planter app. There is so much to it. I still struggle at times but I'm hoping you'll do another video with some of their updates.😊

  8. Would be so cool when it tells you when it probably is ready to harvest!!!! Thats where i need help. Planted a bunch and dont know when ready> Could put a date on the label but only so much room for stuff haha

  9. The spacing suggestions seem off in this app… It's telling me I need only 1 square foot for 4 corn plants or I can grow 4 full collards in that same sq ft, but my squash absolutely needs 4 sq ft? And there is no way to manually adjust the plant spacing/sizing? Great idea, but definitely a work in progress, especially at a full price of $30.

  10. I have been looking for an App that is really useful. Thank You for introducing me to this app. I have the app now and am very excited to see all the new things I can and and will be able to do with it. It really is a all in one app. I am very impressed.

  11. You might have an adjustable grade setting. What I mean, is a basic setting … limited information and then step it up to more and more complex. Beginner gardening and up to expansive larger operations. I wanted to use an accounting software … it was so complicated for my really tiny use, it was easier to just use pen and paper and a couple of days time.

  12. This sounds like a really good app that I will check out. Another alternative would be The Old Farmers Almanac Garden Planner. I've used it the past three years and it does most, if not all of this already. The seed inventory idea sounds really cool!

  13. Pests – it would be great in the future if they added an ability to document when certain pests hit your plants. This would create the journal you mentioned, which could then tie into the calendar and reminders that the developer is developing. Just a thought to share. Thanks for all you do!

  14. I am absolutely loving the collaboration between you all! I’ve been loving the Planter app and can’t wait for more features to come out.

  15. I’ve been testing this app out from the perspective of UK gardeners and sending feedback and having conversations with the team about potential updates.
Excited to see how it progresses
