Edible Gardening

Cultivating patience in the garden & at home🌺 | slow & calm days of June | cottagecore, slow living

Calm days go on on our farm. A bit of gardening, a cozy moment reading in nature, a strawberry desert, a quiet and relaxing DIY inspired by nature, paintings inspired by my cottage life… Today I want to talk to you about patience, and its importance when it comes to productivity, creativity and peace of mind.

The second half of Spring is the perfect time to pick up edible flowers and plants in nature, to enjoy them right away or to dry and preserve them for the cold seasons. I recently planted vegetables and aromatics and am discovering the joy of nurturing them, working with nature and cultivating productivity, patience and hope. The results won’t take place overnight, but with time, the reward will come. Nature teaches you patience in the most beautiful and inspiring way. It just does what it has to do, knowing that rushing is pointless and detrimental.

The strawberries we planted are finally giving us what we wanted. Last year was just the beginning, this year they have multiplied, because we have been patient enough to give them time. When you work with nature, this is a lesson to be learned : you will get to enjoy the fruits of your labor eventually.

I’m also happy to finally show you the bookmarks I’ve been working on for the past few days. They are part of a new series of whimsical bookmarks. They’re all for sale and available in my shop (link below). They are originals, there won’t be print versions of them, so… don’t hesitate if you’re interested in one of them! Visit the shop and send me an email.

Other content in this video: cozy moments in the cottage, views of our French countryside, candlelight ambience, making a nature mandala, more inside and outside cottagecore ambience.
