Sempervivum houseleeks-famine food poor man’s ALOE$$$#gardening #famineproof #garden #permaculture

My dogs dug into a planter, so I used this as an opportunity to up pot some houseleeks! These succulent plants are said to be useful as a substitute for aloe vera and are edible in small quantities. Make sure you do your own research. Some succulents are definitely not edible! My research on this plant shows that it could be really handy in hard times. Because it’s succulent, it also inhibits fire.
