  1. Finally my lettuce is well established, flourishing, actually, in my raised VegePod bed. (Mid Ontario, Canada) Garlic that I planted last fall (in the ground) looks like an Amazon rain forest! However, the straw mulch that I covered them with, and also the potatoes, has sprouted like crazy! Even the crops that I grew in containers, and covered with straw mulch, are sprouting grass! Wheat, I assume. Is this an issue, or should I just turn the vegetation back into the soil?

Love your videos, and your pup! My Lucy says "wuff!"

  2. Hi thanks for the videos! I planted some Basil in a pot in the backyard and the leaves got stiff and didnt grow and its not freezing where I live any advise? Also I planted a mint and in 2 weeks it was all shriveled like some bugs killed it or ate it?

  3. Thank you so much for this video. I just recently moved to Fort Myers Florida and have to relearn my planting schedule.

  4. Hey! Mac! He always looks sheepish when you are talking, darting those eyes towards the camera. 🤣
I really want to create that arched trellis!

  5. I harvested out most of my greens leaving New Zealand Spinach, and Russian Scarlet Kale. My garden is down to Seascape Strawberries, assorted peppers, cucumbers, summer and winter squash, tomatoes, onions, basil, dill, oregano, thyme, mint, and dwarf zinnias. My raised beds are covered with a thick layer of leaves. In July, I'll mix the leaves into the soil and, and cover with a thin layer of compost readying them for planting. I'll start my fall garden with sowing seeds for cabbage, carrots, rutabagas, and turnips. In mid August, I'll add Boc Choy, Komatsuna, winter choy, kohlrabi, peas, and beets to the garden. In September, I'll finish my garden with lettuce, radishes, and my winter experiment—tomatoes. I am determined to have fresh tomatoes this winter, even if it snows. Alabama, zone 7B.
