Welcome to Morning Glory Farmstead!
Time to spruce up the GreenStalk Garden Patio! In this video my goal is to get each GreenStalk Garden cleaned up and looking as healthy as possible, I am going to be adding blood meal to add some nitrogen to those plants that are looking yellow. I’m also going to share a couple cat tips, info about the downy woodpecker, and some footage of my kitchen window bantam chicken. Every video I do will have a few topics related to gardening, animals, and nature!
Don’t forget that bird feeders make a great gift for someone who is completely healthy or someone who is handicapped or confined to a bed or chair. There are lots of ways to set up bird stations and they even have window bird feeders.
You guys, tailor your garden to your budget and lifestyle. Small garden spaces can bring just as much satisfaction and joy as large gardens. Your garden should work for you and bring you joy. Love what you have and don’t worry about what you don’t have. You can work your way to a larger garden over time if that is something that you really want to do.
As usual, I have some footage today of my cats and dogs!
I hope that you are making a special garden area even if in a small space. Most people have a smaller garden space to work with and you can just add a few things to your area that make it joyful and peaceful for you specifically.

I pulled all my 'greens' and have violas (edible) lavender, garlic, dwarf tomatoes, different flowers, and empty places waiting for me. I still love my greenstalks and especially the strawberry stalks. Last night my great grands came and they were so excited to pick carrots. I grow purple and orange and red ones. They pulled and then removed the tops for their chickens and did this in the dark. They found the spearmint, stevia, tomatoes, peppers and had so much fun finding treasure in the dark garden. LOL They keep me young at heart. Have you thought of growing your own meal worms for the chickens? Suppose to be very easy and lightweight.

Hi Lolly! I have a few Woodpeckers on my Pecan Tree. I wish I could get a swarm of them to devour the aphids. Actually, I wish the tree would die. It has nearly shaded out my garden! So frustrating living in a tiny space with so little sunlight. Ready to daisy chain some small grow lights. The park owner just doesn't care. Won't trim what I ask.
Burn pile for the leaf miners. It's the only way to end them. Love n Hugs, Zanna
